Nice one, smart choice if you can manage it.

Down my road (all of the houses are the same) the rental price is £675 a month + bills.

We mortgaged ours and pay £500pm + bills. Think it works out to just under £900 a month between me and the missus!

Looks like rental prices are nuts everywhere.

I found that by adding just a tiny bit of water you getting a better quality froth, but I had the 1st gen version of that. It stops it from becoming solid floam. They do make an awesome cuppa.

I was talking about the whole 3 vs 2 front gears argument on the front the other day with someone. I personally think that if you're dropping below the 2nd ring on a road bike you're not getting enough pace to make it worth it, as I now find going up hills far easier than spinning in a tiny gear, but I do see your point. The guy in question had been toying with the two for his wifes Ulegtra setup and thought that he should have got the 3 setup having gone up Devils Dyke a few hours earlier.

The spoke pattern on those wheels is pretty cool.

I did read up the version 1 wasn't as good, this seems to froth pretty well I'll give the water trick a go :), I'm finding I run out of milk now lol I go through more coffees a day now then I ever did with the Tassimo its just so much better using whole milk rather then the UHT sweatend crap you get with a Tassimo machine.

I don't think I'll ever have a triple front 30 gears is a lot of gears lol hopefully it'll give her a bit of confidance to start off and then when she stops using the sissy ring I'll drop it, next up is to find her a nice Girls MTB frame in Pink so I can port all my spares onto it so we can go on some trails :).

Great guitar. Had mine for god knows how many years and due to me not playing it anywhere near enough, it still looks brand new. Mines alder and white.

I was told when I bought it the main thing to be careful of is the jack, which can break if your a bit heavy handed. Can't remember how or why now as it was years ago, :D

Usually with enough use, the cheaper quality on the jacks (mainly the connections not the jack itself) will break, I have had this happen on all kinds of different cables and seen it on varying quality of guitars,

All I would suggest is be mindful when unplugging your guitar from the amp cable, also some of the guys I know who play a decent ammount will loop the cable inside of the shoulder strap near the jack, this they say is so that if it snags it wont be instantly pulling on the joint and the connection.

I just say learn to solder and make your own or at least be able to repair your own

Good luck! I'm tempted to try the same, but I'm too busy at the moment... maybe one day. :)

One last upgrade for my desktop, got a friend's rate, and coincidentally a Nvidia driver update caused my 8800 GTX to artifact everywhere, so it worked out.

    eVGA GTX 580 SC 1.5GB

And for my bike, some cheap stuff for a cheap bike I got from a local community bike shop for volunteering. Nice to bomb around with and not care too much about the condition/where I'm going.

110mm grips, i can fully grip them without touching the shifters, nice when going down stairs and not worrying about shifting accidentally during the descent(happened with my old bike)

    And
    [IMG]
New SRAM 3-7 spd grip shifts.

And with that, some stand time at said bike shop to put it all together and refurb/grease everything.
All in all, I've rebuilt the whole bike from a wrecker to a pretty clean bike. I've a Peugeot road bike for long rides.

I don't mind them, but to each their own.
What don't you like about them though? Just a curiosity for next time I consider ordering shifters. I went with what was on the bike.
