I used have one of those spiral rachets, until drill/drivers became commonplace. Tom is right, they're bloody lethal!

It might still be lying at the bottom of one of my toolboxes.

Tickets to see Henry Rollins in Birmingham in January.

Rollins always fascinates me when he opens his mouth, so a potential two and a half hours? Sold, a thousand times sold.

Herman Miller Aeron chair. I'm outfitting a new office, and was umming and aahing about spending the sharp end of £500 on one; turns out a mate of mine bought a job lot years ago and is happy to flog me one for £50. Needs a good clean, he says, but I don't mind putting in a bit of elbow grease for a 90 per cent saving!

A 1/24th scale Tamiya Repsol Escort Cosworth, because it's probably as close as I'll get to owning a real one.

Thanks, after a load of getting fed up at delays and incompetence, we had a load of good news all in one go last night.

Contracts exchanged, the £5000 which was going to be held back by the bank subject to a couple of inspections has been released without the need for the inspection (common sense prevailed it would seem), so we don't need to pay over another £5k on the deposit and claim it back later.

On top of that, my wife seems to have found a doctor who thinks he knows what's been causing her almost constant pain over the past year or so and it could be sorted with additional vitamin D and a steroid pill. Fingers crossed that this will get her sorted and she will be able to get on and do stuff again rather than taking to her bed all evening and weekends.
