    rendering film footage in our realtime grading application. we're also looking at moving to GPGPU for more complex image restoration bits, which are currently written in some frankly terrifying SSE code - we're hitting memory limits when processing 4k footage which is annoying customers.

    Isn't the point that you lose/rip/otherwise destroy the paper ones and therefore need to buy a new one and therein give the charity more money?

    My PC runs solidworks perfectly, and it's no Quadro 6000... Mind you it does depend on what you're rendering or drawing.

    Yeah, but the badge costs about the same as about 5 or 6 years donations through regular poppies as far as I can remember. We all have poppy pin badges as well as paper ones. I keep the badge on my coat and the paper one goes on my suit lapel.
