    Hey

I just formated and made a partition using Partition Magic 8.01.
After it was done i inserted the Windows XP it booted and then i pressed ENTER to continue and it says:

"Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed on your computer"

    And then asks to reboot!

What can i do to RE-install windows????

    thx in advance

That is our dear old WinXP!
Your HDD is probably SATA, and requires SATA drivers.

    The fix:
    - Get an eternal USB floppy drive and a floppy.
    - You need an other computer to find, download, and extract (if zipped) the SATA drivers.
    - Plug your external floppy drive into your laptop.
    - When Windows XP goes "Press F6 to install SATA or RAID driver...." (or something like this) [you have about 1-2 second]... press F6.
    - Tell windows setup to install the SATA drivers and you are set to continue the setup.

If you have 2 GB of RAM, a Vista compatible video card that won't struggle and peek at 100% to draw the interface, and a good CPU, get Vista.
