Lookin very sweet man, especially that nice cable management... and the case with the H100 is REALLY nice. A lot of Corsair stuff there, and it looks amazing together. I'm jealous of your D7000 btw... I'm in the market for a replacement second camera (having just sold my 1Ds2) and if my Canon lenses would interface with a Nikon body by means of an adapter I'd jump on the D7000 like a horny dog, but unfortunately that's not possible. The Canon 7D is a lovely camera and very similar to the D7000 (more so the D300s), but stupidly expensive...
Quite like that case..... How much smaller is it than my 800D, as you know im looking to downsize hmmm.
It's pretty roomy actually. It's a bit of a tight squeeze behind the mobo tray, but if you don't bunch the cables up too much it's fine. I'm loving the D7000! Fab camera. Used examples will start dropping in price soon, especially when the D800 is launched.
Wow, that is so nice. So tidy, jealous much! I was looking at the 650D. But think it might be just a bit too much so i'll stick with getting the Fractal DD R3. Shame, 'cos that looks so nice and tidy. Thinking of getting the H100 too so obv. now know it fits perfectly in that case. Is the whole thing really cool & quiet? Or think changing the fans for AirPenetrators or GT would help at all? It looks like you don't even have HDD's plugged in its so tidy! Can't see them anywhere.
The H100 is pretty damned noisy actually when on high. I'll definitely be swapping the fans out soon... gentle typhoons or Noctuas.. I currently have it set on minimum though, and it's very quiet at the moment. Temps stay around 70 under full load on a Intel burn test even at minimum.
Looks pretty damn sick man nice job on the cabling and what not as other's have said, now I'm looking forward to getting my new bit's, now that scan finally have the rampage IV in stock
Because I've used ASUS for 18 years... I quite like Gigabyte, they've come along way since 478. No offense, just not been impressed recently To the OP, looks great! I'm itching for mine
IRQ issues, sata issues.. just a few things on the earlier X58 and previous generation 775 chipset boards that I wouldn't expect from a premium product! Call it coincidence but the UD3R is the first board I've used in a while that's been hassle free! 5 years ago I wouldn't of ever touched a Gigabyte board lol.
To give balance... the rig I've just replaced was a UD3R Rev 2.0, and I've had a nightmare with it. When set to AHCI it was very fussy what drive it booted from resulting in massively long boot times, and the ethernet port was noticeably slower than the P6T it replaced.
Damn that's a nice setup! A lot of wonga went into it though. Jealous! My i7 920 will have to keep me going for a few more years yet...
Old rig vs. new rig. For some reason it's reading my new rig as having the same X58 board as my old rig.. which is clearly nonsense.
