That K2 HE is a nice 75% board, I'd be interested if it was illuminated.

TBH I'm not sure why an established brand is crowdfunding a new product, it that radical?

Scroll further down the KS page... North facing led's.

Kickstarter's just become it's own self perpetuating thing now. Plenty of people on there that back stuff that comes through on the new/trending KS emails that they wouldn't have seen otherwise, so if nothing else it's a bit of free marketing to a non core demographic.

    Better go back and look...

Thanks for digging deeper @VictorianBloke, that does change things in its favour

I thought my wallet had dodged a bullet there :D

**EDIT** The ISO version is available in limited edition form only and doesn’t have shine through keycaps. The lower row look non standard, so finding a suitable ISO shine through set could be tricky. Hmmmmm….

Hmmm hadn't even spotted the bottom row.

I'll dig out my spare caps later and see what's in there, but pretty sure I got 1, 1.25, and 1.5u caps for the whole row (tai hau deep forest blue). If not, that's a problem for future me to solve.

Future me is pleased with Tai Hao.
Plenty of 1u bottom row keys for the RHS, including a couple of blanks. Other than those 3 the bottom row is the same layout as GMMK 2 compact. 1.25u on the left.

Excuse the state of my keyboard. Didn't realise it was quite that filthy.

I understand a lot of companies now use KS to gauge interest in new products.
Elegoo are one that springs to mind (and how I got my laser cutter).

I just put my keyboard back together after giving it an unexpected shower with some juice. Working fine again now but I have snapped one of the little clip thingies that fits into the back of the cap and where the the metal clip slides into. Anyone know what they are called and where I can buy them ?

    Thanks

yeah, theres a little bit that plugs into the caps and the metal goes through it. I've managed to snap one.

if it' the bit i'm thinking of you might have to replace the entire stabiliser... or try to cannibalise one...

EDIT: assuming you mean these bits [image is just some random example for aliexpress for illustration]

Its a CM Storm keyboard. It may be proprietary after looking at your pic, and that maybe why I can't find it. The broken bit fits into underside of keycap. Then the spring clip slides into them and clip the bits on the left which seat into the board.

Something more like these? [I know they're listed as OOS but it gives you something to look for elsehwere if they're the right thing]

I think those are the clip-in type, vs the screw-in type I originally showed.

But as long as you've found what you're after.

*Finally* had a semi-failure on the cheapo keyboard, after seven months of thousands of daily words: the left-hand spacebar, which is weirdly the only one I really use unless I concentrate on using the right-hand one, has started registering two hits instead of one. Not every time, but often enough to be annoying.

'course, it's hotswap... so I just swapped it with Caps Lock (mapped to Control) and went on my merry way. I'm taking it as a personal challenge to see how long this thing lasts now!
