I entered that 5870 competition and it got me thinking, whats the most people have ever won.. Just from free entry competitions.. I bet some of you guys have had some biggies.

Won Apollo 13 tickets from radio Shropshire when i was 11/12, think they also sent me some kitchen wear to..

It's amazing what you remember.. But i recall it being a Saturday - we were driving through Shrewsbury at the time and i was on my mums gigantic mobile phone... Think we had gone to pick up some school clothes since it was close to the end of summer hols.

Was an odd competition.. The question was who was the first man to walk on the moon. Think i remember myself being pretty disappointed with Apollo 13 tickets, parents went in the end.

I remember I won a copy of CoD4 from a compo on here, but that's the biggest thing I've ever won. I'm not very lucky with competitions.

I remember Acrimonious winning a graphics card a few years ago though - £250+ worth of card too. :D

I've won a Samsung compact camera and a lexmark printer, through GQ website a few years back worth a couple hundred, I won 100 Lucky dip lottery tickets through the metro, which netted me a £10 and a head ache checking each line :D, Oh and I won a sodastream machine years and years ago, though I still can't rememeber how, Parents think it must have been through a leaflet that came in the soadastream we bought, so the only way to win a sodastream was to already own one.

I have been lucky enough to win a few things.

I won a copy of Office 2007 through a magazine competition.
I won an ipod mini through Walkers crisps promotion.
Several CD's, DVD's and T-Shirts through radio competitions
A mobile phone in a supermarket draw.

And most recently a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate (for hosting a launch party)

Hopefully I will be able to add a new graphics card or some Enermax goodies to the list. :D

I won a MOTM package from A.C. Ryan and an EN9600GT Matrix video card from Bit-Tech.

$50 in the lotto is the most there. Haven't played for 17 years or more

Tickets to rock events a couple times - Ozfest comes to mind

I won a 4gb USB stick on here for a POTM. That was nice, because it wasn't just a random draw.
other than that, not much at all. i think i also won a t-shirt in another bit compo for a caption or something.

Thinking about it I don't really enter many competitions... That's probably why I don't win... :hehe:

I would say biggest thing I won so far has been all the stuff I won at the Asus Xtreme event. Practically got a new PC out of it lol.

Round the World airline tickets from BA for 2, back in 2000.

Was a 'golden ticket' type thingy that came in our freebe local paper. Couldn't believe it at first, as I don't normally look at the local rag - it usually just gets dumped in the recycling. All we had to do was pay the airport taxes.

    London -> LA -> Sydney -> Singapore -> London.

Was very handy, as we essentially got a free trip to see MrsGoo's family in Singapore. It also taught me that LA is a dump, and Sydney is an awesome town... I just need to scrape together enough for my retirement pad in Neutral Bay! ;)

They did - you could either go the way we went or the reverse (London, Singapore etc)

We also had to travel before a certain time of the year, and I think we had to return to the UK after a month. We did it in two weeks, having 3-4 days in each LA and Sydney, and the rest in Singapore. IIRC, it was all timed nicely for Chinese New Year that year... I remember eating a lot in Singapore. But that's nothing new... ;)

Only thing I've ever won was 2 tickets to the MTV2 night of the five night stand back in 2001-ish, but then I don't enter many comps.
