Well i figured because the baby is due soon, i'd learn iMovie a bit (as i just got a macbook). Decided to just chop some star trek trailers together. Strip out the dialog and put a music track over it to make me own trailer... Is a bit ropey but tell me what ya think.

I think iMovie is fantastic. Is so easy to use, from opening the application to finishing this little trailer it took me an hour (Having never edited video before). Look forward to churning out some stupid baby videos for the grandparents (they live abroad)

Good job, watching the first one induced my first ever moment of actually wanting to get into star trek, which is an achievement :)
I can't video edit for shizzle, I tried to use windows movie maker once and my brain just started crying.

Same boiled, think i looked at it for 2 minutes and decided not to bother.

iMovie really does make everything so simple, a few bugs though. Think after doing two trailers i've learnt everything iMovie has to offer now, so i'm gonna borrow Final Cut off a friend.

    Thanks very much :)

Ahh... windows movie maker is epic fail! At school I got to use final cut pro 6 which is mac only and professional grade software, and it is fricken awesome! I can't wait till I get my mac for school (going for radio and television once I get accepted after midterms hopefully!) If you ever get the chance to get your hands on a copy of final cut, its got plenty of features, and the newer versions are so easy for incorporating multiple files such as motion, live type, photoshop, illustrator, soundtrack, etc. etc. Final cut was the reason I tried to get mac on my pc through hackintosh, which somewhat worked until windows came into the picture lol

Final Cut Pro is easily my favourite application evarrr. I'm using it right now! Studio 3 soon perhaps? Hmm.
