Turbo minis are quality, I always fancied dropping a redtop in one, alas time and money always got in the way. Is it a metro turbo lump? Bore it to 1390 muarahahahh! Miss the mini crowd, use to be a regular on the l2b, mitp, smd etc, good times, really awesome group of people.

Mine is an SPI engine, with most of the bits from a metro turbo engine - but most people just take the complete unit. They're all pretty much the same anyway.

    SPI engine, with..
T3 turbo running at something like 14-16psi (standard is 7).
    Maniflow exhaust.
Modified & flowed downpipe and exhaust elbow.
    Oversized pistons.
    Chambered head with bigger valves.
    Ford Cosworth intercooler
and a few other tweaks I've forgotten.

You must have whacked some fat jets in the carby :eeek:

I like the airflow setup btw, with all the fresh air coming in from the front, and exiting from the rear, both under the car and up past the lifted bonnet :thumb: Lemme guess, the induction noise is too good to quieten it and perhaps gain a couple of hp with cold air ducting?

Actually the raised bonnet is a downside - it's a negative air pressure zone. It does, however, mean the stuff fits in the engine bay, where as some of it wouldn't if the bonnet was on properly! ;)
