I've been on here for a short while and have had some advice on my first potential build. I have all the parts sorted except one thing....the case. the reason being is that at first I want to use air cooling in the case but sometime in the near future I would like to have a go at water cooling for the first time but need to build my knowledge and confidence up a bit. So I need a case which is good for both cooling systems.....any advice?? I like the look of the Silverstone TJ07 but it's a tad exspensive, I wanting to spend about £130-£160 Please help
HAF 932? Looks aren't to everyone's tastes, though. The Coolermaster ATCS 840 is supposed to be a great case, albeit a little over-budget.
Don't forget about the Coolermaster Sniper and the Antec 902 as well, there's also the Antec P18x family to consider. All good cases.
Lain Li A70/A71. Roof can fit a triple rad, front can fit a double, excellent build quality, easy to mod (all panels removable), huge amounts of space, understated but classy looks.
well i thought about the antec 902 but i wanted to water cool it its not big enough to fit rads inside it is it? the lian's look a bit plain so not really to my liking. i really want a big case so i can fit everything inside, is the coolermaster cosmos s any good scan have a silverstone tj07 in silver for just over £200 so maybe i might be able to stretch to that. why is the silver one a lot less exspensive than the black btw?
Black has a higher demand. As for the Cosmos S, yes it's a very capable case. One of earlier watercooled builds was in a Cosmos S and I found the whole experience pretty enjoyable. The 1 thing I will mention is that theres very little room behind the mobo tray for cables, so it's not the best case for building a meticulously tidy machine in.
Silverstone FT01? Price recently dropped, in the States anyway. Edit: £129.95 inc vat on ebuyer, looks like a good price. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/156829 IMO looks better than the TJ07, I love the window.
so are all these cases big enough to fir everything needed for water cooling on another note, does anyone know where i can learn how to go about water cooling because i've never done it before and wouldnt know where to start. i'd love to have everything in my first build to be water cooled eventually.......jsut because it looks so damn cool (pun not intended)
