My trusty Nike Triax (100 lap) finally gave up after 4 years of long use ( the plastic strap broke) I am currently in the market for a new watch. The criteria are a) not a normal watch b) lights up so far the ones ive looked are a) Blue LED binary watch http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/watches/6a17/ pros : definately techie looking cons : getting way to many "geek comments"... heh it might be too geeky b) Casio analog/digital watch http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...9?_encoding=UTF8&n=3889331&s=jewelry&v=glance pros: looks good, definately differetn cons: people might wonder why its digital and analog C) Skagen men's super slim watch http://www.bluenile.com/product_det...annel.asp&page=1&col=2&row=1&pos=2&set_shape= pros: very slick looking watch cons: no light D) Pimping aint easy watch by PIMP http://www.mobilemag.com/content/100/335/C2928/ pros: 72 LED droool cons: expensive ( at the moment out of budget) My budget is 100 USD so if anyone can help me find other watches or has any comments I would appreciate the help
I've been beating the crap out of a Timex DATALINK for about 5 years now & it's never failed to function. Not sure about their USB loader for the new ones, mine recieves data from the monitor.
Hmm, This techy enough for you: http://www.firebox.com/index.html?dir=firebox&action=product&pid=1060 Above youre budget though.
heh ok more clarification, I dont need any other gimmick except lighting so no tvs, usb, mp3, voice recorder, video camera. etc options needed (not looking for anything bulkier than a normal watch)
that last watch (the blue led one) looks similar design to this...: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2993&item=5386235810&rd=1 and this is only £21!
i was going to say Nixon Delta it comes with white on black LCD barometer altimeter temp senser but its like $280
Binary watches are cool, but far from practical. I know binary, but still took a few seconds to work out the time onthe damn thing. Had it for 2 months and gave up wearing it all the time. Telling the time should be an instant thing, the binary watch makes it a timely pain in the a**.
Think geek has some cool watches, the one I quoted is nice, I might be getting that one. This one looks really cool, I think its my favorite: http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/watches/664e/
Tokyo Flash That's the place! Odd, flashy geeky watches from Japan, their stock seems to change from month to month so...
You know with a couple of ICs you can build your own binary clock. It's not a watch but I guess it still looks the shizzle EDIT// here's the link: http://home.arcor.de/avrwakeup/binclock.html Click on "Schaltung" for the schematic
