I'm not getting my hopes up too high (been dashed before). But it does look good and its good to see that Kirk doesn't start off in charge but ends up through a twist of fate lazy script writers :)

Like you say GOO, Urban seems to be doing a good job as does Sylar. Not convinced by the rest least of all Pegg, i get the feeling Scotty is going to be pure comic relief which would be a shame as the character wasn't really like that before the last couple of films.

Screw you and your local IMAX :(

Probably see it at the one in Tamworth, which was shitty last time I was there.

I've got a car. I can't offer you a place to crash for the night as home is fairly chaotic at the moment, but I can offer you a lift to and from the cinema/railway station.

A tempting offer (A much appreciated offer). I might take you up on it, depending on when you're planning to go, and what kind of balancing act my world is closer to the time.

Mmmmm, saw the trailer for this when seeing watchmen yesterday, first response from gf was 'dont even ask me to see that film', star trek preceeds its self with its nerdom to her haha.

Looks more like an action film than the erm (to me) usually boring star trek ness.

Same here, my other half doesn't want to see it :sigh:

Hopefully I'll persuade one of my other friends to go with me, if not then I'll have to try and work out some sort of deal with her...hmmmm

There was a five-minute standing ovation after it was shown in Sydney. I'm stoked now!

Still, I'm looking forward to this. It will be the first Star Trek Film I have ever watched :p
