Woke up to my house flooding this morning, and combined with several other things in my life it's put me in a rather bad funk at the moment (you ever just sit in a chair in complete silence, with the only thing that you are physically able to do is have a weep?), so I decided to have some fun at work today. Above is the result; raised my spirits a little.

 

That rugby vs football one is hilarious. Presumably someone thought that football was more manly than rugby and tried to show it using the most common state of American Football. Everyone stood around in copious amounts of body armour doing absolutely nothing in very tight trousers.

 

Pink, historically, is a very masculine colour you know. Just thought I'd give you some historical context for next time you put those red socks in the wash with your white T shirts

 

Haha, Then comparing it to a kit which was changed to pink by the clubs owner to make the team play better or something, you should see the stade de france on SF home games.. even the touchlines are pink...

Too true. There's a tale of one of the rugby league clubs doing a tour of America a few years back - with the idea being that they'd play a few demo matches against a couple of local (American) football teams. As I remember it, the rugby players were happy to suit up and play American football, but none of the American footballers were willing to take their armour off and play a game of rugby.

Comments were made by the Americans about the violence of rugby, and the dubious sanity of those who play it

Yea, As I recall I think it was a punishment for being crap.

 

Yup, Cant remember if it was due to they almost got relegated to the Pro D2 (2nd division) or they just weren't playing well.. either way the owner went mad and made everything pink.. seems to have worked kinda xD an example below is what their stadium looks like on home games... :| -
