    Hi guys

It's been a very long time. I know this is a terrible way for a reintroduction, but I've run into a snag with my notebook, Dell Vostro 1500, and I need some help.

The display driver keeps crashing periodically and Windows will be able to recover from it. The displays will go black as the card is reinitialised for 10 seconds and then I can carry on. This will happen while doing normal activities in Windows and, sometimes, it will happen when playing a game. It's been ongoing for over a year.

I've used a plethora of display drivers and the issue is persistent. No hardware changes occured when it started to happen. The notebook, in its current state, can be considered fresh-- formatted 6 days ago. I am currently using the official driver from nVidia.

The display adapter is nVidia G84M (GeForce 8600M GT).

    Did you check your temperatures?
If you need a problem, I suggest AIDA64 not free, but trial version is more than enough.
