Hi, I'm considering the purchase of a new pc with a 8800gt. I've seen warnings about a massive driver bug with nvlddmkm.sys - has this been fixed yet? Is it a problem only in vista, or XP also? Basically, is this something I should worry about... thanks guys.
It affects a very much smaller fraction of users now, mainly with Vista. I had problems (Vista boot error) with an older 7200GS card, rolling back to older drivers fixed it. Searched the net, there's no information I could find on what hardware combination is likely to cause problems, no guaranteed cures if you're one of the unlucky ones, but as said, it now doesn't affect many people.
I have no problem, same for my friend that has the 320MB GTS model. We are both running with Vista 64-bit.
