As mentioned via PM, the chips maxed FSB wise All the 400 fsb doth's are the same. At the moment there appears to be nothing that can be done
Well I finaly got a bit faster. This is My revamped setup. Specs are as follows presscott 530J @ 3.9ghz 24/7 so far Kingmax hardcore pc4000 ram @ 260mhz @ 2.5-3-3-5 Asus p5p800 Same old generic 650w 22amp on 12 rail psu and samsung spinpoint hdd's All is under water. I run a swiftech mcw5002 moded to lga, a maze4 gpu block, mid sized 120mm fan heter core, hydor L30 and a new air conditioner in my room...LOL. EDIT: I just realised I did the run with the realy old super pi bencher. Ah well.
Seriously, it won't help The chips (nothing to do with the board) just won't do more than 170 tops, unless you have a 533MHz one...
Just installed the trial version of x64 and went down to 42.537s! (and that's still with a 32 bit app!) Unfortunately driver support on my laptop is pants, and if I'm going to work this hard for drivers anyway.... let's just say I won't be running a microsoft based 64 bit OS for a while....
Upgrading to A64 soon, so I thought i would go through some old kit... Athlon XP Tbred B 2000+ (el generico crap stepping, locked) on TDX Skt.A water cooling. 12.5x195 @ 2.1vcore, didn't have any benefit from 2.2vcore+ and won't go further than 2450MHz, crucial PC2100 @ 2.8vDIMM 2-2-2-11 (yes, yes..). Need to get my proper memory back and see if i can shave a couple of second off with dual channel. 44 seconds, good 'ole Tbred.
nice overclocking there highland3r....is this using the old(er) one of your dothan or why does it say 725?
what are the temps on that highlander...i have a pentium m laptop, that might need guting in the near future mind you it is the old(er) chip
http://img263.echo.cx/img263/4252/superpi4wk.jpg (il just link like that couldnt be bothered to resize >.>) P4 530 Abit AS8 Stock - Air using 2 x kingston value ram pc3200 Hope i didnt mess anything up [Edit: Oh of course i made a mistake...opened cpu:z twice but didnt put one on timings -.-]
2.55ghz on 1.4125v was 51 deg after 21 hours prime tourture test with stock CT-479 cooler/fan. Fan was on 80% (or maybe 50 cant remeber)
Not too fast, but upgraded PC, and this is the first PC thats made it under a minute for me 512 Corsair Value Ram Sempron 3100 OC'd to 230fsb (from 200) so 2070mhz (norm 1800) - M@
0.09 cpu Nice, give it a few more volts and see how far it'll run Should be able to push it a little further 2.2-2.4ghz should be attainable
Just got my 3200+ Venice stuck in my Ultra-D, and stayed up all night getting it just so . Here's the best I have so far: Would love to go further, but it seems like my CPU is maxed, at least for as much power as I can give it on stock cooling . Might pick up a better cooler and go further, though.
Zephyr, start giving it a little more voltage - you might be able to peak about 2.8, and don't worry, 1.6V on the stock cooler is safe. As to you ram, you should be getting a lot more from that HyperX. Try to loosten timings and ramp clocks.
