Well I dont have them in front of me, but they are about 3" wide X 1.5" deep X 0.25" thick. This is just a rough guess, don't quote me on it :)

I think it converts between AMD and P4 mounting holes, maybe?

they conver all known waterblocks to fit the 2 Opteron mounting holes.

the cutouts in them are to make sure they dont go where the barbs are supposed to fit.

my guess is he is gonna use the White Water block from dtek. then slap those on and mount it on an athlon 64

    Re: a guess...

Wow...with his first post wasabi wins!

Man.. Yo_DUH_87...you were soooo close :( but I was looking for more specifics. I hope I gave some good clues and I really thought that NiHiLiST knew (but was being sneaky :D).

Yes these adaptors convert athlon waterblocks to Xeon/P4/Opteron. They have the proper holes for motherboard hole mounting. It was so frustrating that there are practically no xeon waterblocks out there (at least ones that I like) so....need is the mother of invention :)

This particular design will work with alot of blocks out there(I designed it with PRIME in mind), but with a few changes it can work with most blocks. These pics are of a TC-4 with the mounting for a P4 motherboard:

That was fun....I might have to do this again :) Wasabi...an email is coming your way :dremel:

Am I being slow or do the brackets obstruct the inlet / outlet holes? Can you actually fit a barb in there?

/flees and hastily apologises for lack of faith in scopEDog's leetness

Heh...yeah it doesn't work too well on spiral or tc-4 blocks, but I designed it specifically for another block :) With a few small changes I can make a more universal adaptor.

I might possibly be building a dual xeon rig for a guy I know. could you email me the measurements for the holes and whatnot? maybe a autocad file or whatever you have? I culd prolly make something similar out of thick plexi.

Drat, why is it that I'm (almost) always soooo close and still miss it by that much :duh:

    Eh, fun anyways :thumb:

I don't think I have said so before, but forgive me if I have, this looks like an awesome project you have going there, very nice work. Definately not for hauling to LANs, though, unless you install a r/c kit on it complete with wheels :p

Yo_Duh, just imagine, having a SHUTTLE mounting on an R/C kit, with the wheels and all, maybe one of those 4x4 rc cars...now THAT would be a SWEEEEEET CASE MOD!!!

edit: been thinking about this a little more, when the comp powers up the rc batteries charge up...and dont think of keeping it in a table, dont want that 5year old having your shuttle jump off the table while its connected. Would be hell cool to 'drive' it into a lanparty .....

I might actually attempt this in a couple years (after I finish Uni)

    *genius*...
