http://e-activist.com/ea-campaign/action.retrievefile.do?ea_fileid=9192 I dunno about you, but I totally WOULD eat that. *attempt to make this a serious topic* I don't really get this whole 'go veg!' stuff. The most important thing is to not overly rely on meat in your diet, eating it less often but at a higher quality/cost, from reputable farms. We eat too much meat, that's the bad thing; not that we eat meat at all.
"Believe what you wish, as long as you don't try to stuff it down my throat"... That doesn't apply if it's a delicious steak, though I really hate when people even try to tell me what to do. I can see how being a veggy might be good for you and the environment, but nobody else has the right to tell me what to and what not to eat.
Vegetarian, I doubt it. I live on a deer farm and I'll tell you this much; Bambi is damn tasty. We raise our animals well, outdoors, no supplements, processed as humanely as possible. I'd eat any cut of our venison over any other meat I have tried to date. Stop eating meat? Not a hope in hell.
MMMM STEEEAAAK Nope, I'll not stop eating meat unless it kills me, by which point it'd be a tad too late. Honestly can't see the problem with admitting the fact we're omnivores, not damn herbivores as apparently we're 'supposed' to be because of 'responsibility' and 'humanity'. Providing the animals aren't caused pain or poorly treated I have no problem with eating meat.
I say that vegetables are just as bad to eat because you're ending the life of so many poor plants that just wanted to grow tall and strong.
Poor little plants. So defenceless. They can't even move to escape the cruel humans. Eat animals, save plant lives today.
not to mention by eating plants we're taking away precious meals from the surplus of cows the world would soon have if everyone stopped eating beef so by that logic, we should all start eating tigers so they wont kill gazelles and we wont eat the gazelles dinner... my logic is undeniable...
That was the issue at the crux of the debate in the other thread. PETA's position, and to an extent many vegetarians, as well, is not one of dietary concern. Although the dietary argument is raised quite often in their ads, the primary reason they want people to 'Go Veg!' is based on the moral aspect of killing other animals.
PETA, yeah, right. Like I'm going to take lessons in morality from a group who fun terrorists and equate the Holocaust with eating meat. Oh and who's vice president uses insulin...hypocrit much? No thanks. Also meat is part of a balanced diet, we are omnivores, it's how we evolved.
I want to eat all that, but the feet. I never could understand the fetish that people have for feet..
