I noticed a problem with my U2711. I there is a very very noticable blue line right down the middle of the screen when displaying certain grey tones. THis particular grey tone produce several blue lines. This is a picture taken by a crappy iPhone 4 but sufficient to display the problem. Now im going to ask is this normal, I am guessing not. I have revision A00 of the U2711, does anyone have this problem? Just make a color graident and drag it across the screen to check. I guess im going to call Dell tomorrow to look into this. Good thing Dell has a "at your door" serivice.
**** thats not good for a monitor of this class. ive got one - yet to open the box as am undergoing some house renovations - and am anxious to see that it's in good working order. let us know how it works out...
Contact Dell and they will send you a new what ever you want. Heck, I asked for a stand as it had a minor scratch on it, the day I opened the box. I didn't want a replacement and risk to to have a dead pixel on a perfectly working monitor... but still they send me a new monitor box with a pre-paid shipping label to return the old one. I switch the stands and kept the monitor, and sent it back. I think for a cable, they will just give you one. Cost a few pennies, shipping cost more, not worth it for Dell to ask it back. When I order my monitor the sales rep was like: if you need any cables just call back, and I'll send you any cables you need for free. Dell is very relax.. .then again I called via Small Buissness and not Dell home.
