This was uber sexy! But isn't carbon fibre lookalike very expensive, considering that that you are only using it for a case mod?
Carbon Fiber decals don't cost too much just search google or ebay for Carbon Fiber decals and you should get some fairly good results. You can buy some Mod Skinz from PolyGFX but they cost 40$.
I think MNPCTech carries them now too... I seem to remember seeing them. Can't remember for the life of me what they went for though.
small update: switches Is I stated in an previous post I experimented with different CCFL switches and different configurations in the 5.25" front panel bay and came to the conclusion that I did not like the look of toggle or rocker switches in that area. I decided to mount them in the bottom plate (left-hand-side) of the case. With the wheels on the case (which I like) you can access the two switches with no problem. This way I will end up with a very clean front panel area (only my DVD drive and VFD). I installed two rocker switches and a 5mm led running light to help in locating there position when the case is right-side-up.
I have been giving the EL wire SATA Hard Drive cables a test run in my other machine for the last few hours. I am not going to use them. Too much for my taste. I sleeved-up some stock type cables and will go with them. I did come up with an idea for the back-side of that 5.25" bay area. Should be working on that soon.
rocker switches good job on the position of the two rocker switches, also the lighting should be enough on that side as well, keep up the good work home boy!!!
Update: Acrylic sidebay cover I wanted to "clean-up" this area of the case. I first tried using diamond plate, which did not look the way I wanted. I then decided on acrylic (red). It's a straight forward mod. Cut the panel, round the corners with the dremmel, drill and countersink four holes for the stainless steel hexhead bolts I used to mount the cover to the case. What is cool about the red acrylic is depending on the lighting the cover looks anywhere from jet black to cherry red. I still need to get some rubber grommets to put behind the mounting bolts to allow clearence for the DVD,HD and VFD's mounting screws as well as making up another panel for the other side of the case. Here's the pictures.
If you mean how the h20 loop will go. At this point: Innovatek Reservoir Eheim 1046 Pump Aqua Computer Cuplex Evo CPU block Innovatek Cool Matic NV40 video card block (maybe) Aqua Computer Twinplex Northbridge block (maybe) Aqua Computer Aquaero Flow Sensor (for Aquaero VFD) Innovatek 120mm Radiator Innovatek in-line h20 temp Sensor (also will work with Aquaero VFD) back into the Radiator and back to the Reservoir. I have yet to receive any of my Aqua-Computer gear (other than the Full Metal Jacket installed on the pump). Soon I hope. So if you mean pictures of the actual loop, sorry.
Laser Etched Window Preview I am in for a busy week at work, but I received my window etch from http://www.xport1.com/ and wanted to give you guys a preview. Once again they did a wonderful job! My plan is to have two acrylic windows, an inner (etched) and outer(red) with the side panel of the case sandwiched between. That should give the laser etching a little depth. It should look something like this. The two windows will be bolted together with these stainless bolts.
Hey MS, your etch looks hot, I like the red plexi. I just started to begin working on my panel. Check it out... Xport1 did my etch too. http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?p=713243&posted=1#post713243 They are really cheap (cost but in no way quality!). It cost me like ~$40 or so to make this window. The clowns at FrozenCPU wanted to charge me around $200...
