Well, its not entirely free. You see, the case and all the gear is actually payment for work I did for them. Last night I picked up a pack of J-B Weld and filled the holes in the side panel that didn't line up correctly. I had to let it cure all night, so tonight I can re-drill them. I actually am considering doing the LED HD activity mod, but I have no idea how to wire that up. Anybody feel like helping me figure out how to do it? Its a great idea!
Its done! Sorry for skipping straight to the end, but once I got rolling I couldn't stop to take pictures I did have some rough spots since I last posted. Somehow my CPU fried so I had to replace it. Good time for an upgrade huh? Its now running an Abit NF8 and an AMD Sempron 3100+ oc'd to 2.2 GHz. The next issue I had was a dead PCToys multifunction panel. I plugged in 5 different fans and it read all of their speeds as zero, which equates to one seriously ear piercing alarm going off all the time. I've called them twice and sent two emails in the last 3 weeks and have not heard from them. I left it in the case for now just to get the USB ports in the front, but plan to replace it soon. On to the pics!! The night pictures don't pick up all the detail though. The IDE cables are (barely) UV orange (will be replaced too) and the flames look better. Behind each set of flames are two UV ccfls. One is always on and the other is sound activated, giving them a flickering effect. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out, aside from the broken stuff What do you all think?
Well, I'm surprised to say that after weeks of trying, I got a hold of PCToys, and they are sending me a new multifunction panel Now I have to change the LEDs in it from green to orange when I get it so it matches the rest of the case. Woot!
