    Hi guys, here I go again with a new project log :D

    Long time ago I had the idea to build a Half life lan pc but never had good enough idea to start working on it... well the imminent coming out Half life ² gave me some good inspiration.

    I had some parts and stuff to my disposal to start the project then lets go guys :)

    for now , 2 things are sure :

    -full time damage paintjob (to remind the Blackmesa atmosphere )
    -green uv react watercooling ( to remind toxic liquid)

    here is the stuff I have :


    - watercooling : wb derfone, mj 1000, copper rad from nissan micra
    -2 enremax 120mm
    -2 enermax 80mm
    -1 120 mm
    -2 ccfl uv 10 cm
    -1 ccfl uv 30 cm
    -1 psu 250w
    - actima dvd drive 10 x
    - sony crx 1611 16x/10x/40x
    - différents acrylic stuffs
    - different aluminium stuffs

    In this wallpaper you can have an idea how I want the case lokks like :)

    well , after differents search I found this sort of paint to simulate the rustiness of steel

    Niiice. Looks like you are off to a good start. :thumb:
    Oh, what kind of flat panel monitor is that back there? That Aluminum looking one. :rock:

    you can see the differents area I have paint :

    - yellow : primer paint
    - green the result with the oxidant paint
    - red the copper
    - blue copper with steel base color

    you can see the grain due to the steel base paint

    the copper I paint with a brush

    the effect is very different according to the laps time between the 2 different paints

    finally I m going to paint it with the last effect

    thenn I paint the dvd drive :

    this is not a flat panel monitor , it s just an acrylic side panel with a cut aluminium window I made for another case I builded

    yes , the rustiness color is more yellow because of the flash but in reality it is really good rust effect

    It's not my style, but neither is that sweet black/transparent thing you built ;) I bet you can make it look pretty sweeeeeeet!!!

    Yeah, Piloux's back !! :rock:

    Your rustiness look (-and-feel ?) is quite amazing ! :thumb: Will the case be totally "yellow" as the wallpaper is or will you use other colors ? Maybe a "standard red" rustiness effect on the radioactive tubes :naughty:

    Oooow another project log from my m8 Piloux ;)

    The drive looks astonishing just perfect :jawdrop: !! I love it :D

    Cant wait to see more, but by my guesses this one is going to be as good as the previous case (if not even better :geek:)

    Ow and do you mind telling me what kind of paints u use, I might consider this effect on my next project. :dremel:

    well, the case will be totally rusty but I ll make some orange UV reactive plexi pieces to give it the look :D

    hi resetter ;) here is the paint I use :

    this is Instant Iron base coat and instant rust antquing solution, the label is "modern options" I think it is a french product

    Wow :jawdrop: I've always liked the idea of a rust scheme paint job but never thought it would look too good.
