That's plain easy to say. But you may not know; a keyboard aint that easy to paint. My friend did it once, and the keys "stuck" because of the fry paint :D

I know, that's true it is not easy to paint and not easy to mod too, i think I just give a dirty look to the keys and have bigger work on the frame

We all know you'll do another great job with the keyboard. You just can't let it be f*cked. :D Hurry! I wanna see the result. :hehe:

i think the keyboard is looking cool that way, you should use the lamp on more places so it has a weird shape everywhere, and then make it rusty to match the projects theme

yeah, that's what i was thinking. a keyboard unfortunate enough to be in black mesa at the time of the initial event at the beginning of HL would not have fared well. I would expect it to not only be melted in places but seriously screwed up all over. heck, even if you give it the metalic rust treatment, keep it melted. i'm sure temperatures from that rip in space-time (or any of the lasers cutting through stuff, or those aliens that zapped at you, etc.) would have been hot enough to melt metal.

awesome mod on the case and stuff, it looks like it's severely distressed and is a great homage to Dr. Freeman's work ;)

Yeah, rust the whole keyboard, then paint the "melted" areas with some semi-gloss steel coloured paint. :p

Hi , thanks for your greats ideas ;)

After seriously thinking about the best way to give a fitting look to the keyboard and case I decided to make a corrosion damage look for it :)

well, this is not finished yet but like I see someone are waiting for pics then I post some ;)

    first : the keyboard :

and then I worked on it with a dremel :

I applied an orange painting job to the frame:

and after the rust paintjob :

I gave an older look to the keys too (need to be varnish) :

    here on drying:

I have also to varnish the whole but that is for next update , I have to buy varnish, and to old the grey parts too...

    see you soon :dremel:

Damn damn damn Piloux, again you manage too pull it off!!! Looks great, fits the rest of the case well!! Nice dremeling you did there!!

Maybe it's an idea to dremel some of the keys too, so they also look damaged!

    Looking great like usual.

Are you going to do somethin to the silver bits on the keyboard? They look a little too............normal.

Nice... The only change I would make would be to dirty the orange slightly, just make it look like it has got a bit of dirt and grime on it as well, instead of being shiny new while the rest of the keyboard is ruined.
