    Optical drive?

You couldn't mount that in place of the wind breaker as the area is too small.

Hi it was thought about mounting in the cab but with the cab being able to tilt forward plus the fact in the way it is put together I can take the unit off the back of flatbed and actually still use the pc! I can then mount the trailer box and I have the truck like orignal! I could even mount the pc box onto the trailer chassis!

As for the knob on the side yes that controls the volume and acts as the hifi part when the pc is turned off.

LOL NO NO NO, ok I meant in the trailer part of it, on top in the front so when the tray comes out it sits over the cab (part you sit in)

Right I understand now :D . the only problem with that is the fact the motherboard is in the roof and only just fits there!, so there is hardly any room, its so tight in there I am surprised my self that I got it all to fit in! :eeek:

As you can see in these pictures!

gotcha. BTW do you know of any other model trucks with similair dimensions? Like I said I was planning a mod like this as a gift for my Uncle who owns a trucking company, but I do not want to spend $300+ on a tamiya model.

As far as I know there are not really and decent RC type trucks avaliable which are as good as build. The chassis on the tamiya trucks are made from aluminium so make the perfect frame to build a pc into. Also the details on the tamiya kits are I feel one of the best about for the 1/14th truck range! You could build one into a semi-trailer which are abit cheaper! here is a link to a site that sells the kits at a decent price! http://www.stellamodels.net/catalog/default.php?cPath=76_78

Hey, you could always make a "docking station" for the rig! That would make it even more unique :)

And now for LANs all over the world. Start from the UK to New York or Wellington. Bit like what Ewan Mcgregor and that other guy did on two wheels.

Thanks Groovedude, I really like it myself, as brings my hobby of RC's and PC's together in one nice package! Veer the MSI Mega pc that I have has been superseeded by the model in the link you can still get the Mega 651 but it is getting harder to find! It cost me £220 when i got it in feb. The new models have an led front panel rather then a LCD version! here is a link to the MSI site http://msicomputer.co.uk/products.aspx?cat_id=81 this has the current versions avaliable. You will need to do some serching if you want the Mega 651!

you can still get the 651 from comp usa and some online retailers, I like the front panel on that one better than the new ones.
