As far as the atomic theme goes, could you rip off Zap's idea and put a radiation symbol projector behind the fan? Might have to scale up the design a bit though... :hehe:

if u run the fans in a series like leds they will only get half the voltage and that should cut the noise alot and still of plenty of air
to altron stacking fans only works with certain ones im lucky a got that kind :brrr:

Which kind of fans would they be?

Unless you found some fans that don't have to follow the laws of aerodynamics, in which case ME WANT LINKY.

You'd have to make sure those fans can spin up at 55VAC before wiring them in series.

try stacking diff brads of the same fans some do double the airflow while others(have these too) just make alot of noise. there not that special they are the aluminum fans w/ the clear blades and lights from xoxide(dont buy there to expensive) buy ur mod stuff here but they dont have thoses fans :sigh: http://svc.com/index.html
ur right about the fans they may not have the torque to spin up at half voltage but its still worth a shot

The material and brand of the fan doesn't make a difference, stacking them increases pressure but not airflow.

I think you're testing them by holding your hand in front of them, in which case the icreased pressure makes it feel like it's pushing more CFMs, but it's not.

    Lol..calm down there guys! :D

As far as I know...or at least what I think happens..is when 2 fans are in close proximity to each other...in a series...the front fan "blows back" on the rear fan...fighting it..the blow back air from the 1st fan cuts into the 2nd fan...decreasing air flow (least I think.)

I didn't make the letter cut outs....they came stock w/ the panels...

(Start website plug) I ordered the panels from a awesome company called Aircraft Simulators (http://www.aircraftsimulators.com)..they deal w/ reproduction aircraft panels, custom decals, etc...they were great, not only did I get my packages on time..but shipping was only $5.00 and I got my last purchase in 2 days...I HIGHLY suggest this company to any modder..whether they are doing a similar project w/ a military/jet theme...or if they're into making aircraft simulators....very friendly and no problems whatso ever...they even added an item per my request to thier newly online store...just to make my purchase easier..
