Is this project still being continued? It seems like it's pretty much finnished from the last pics posted.
Glad to know I'm being thought of... Yes, the project is still being continued...altho for right now its been pushed to the back burner...the school semester is getting closer and projects are beginning to pile up...I have to finish those 1st...but once I get past those..I'll be able to continue work No, the project is not finished...far from it....it is functional..but not finished.. I do appreciate you checking back...it means alot to me! Stay tuned tho..I'll update asap!
if you matched that huge industrial type fan up with a radiator out of a car and a big mean pump im saying you would have one insane water cooling setup!!!!
wonder if you put it under water if it would move with that fan lol Glad you done it mate. Like to credit you on such a good idea. How loud is it?? Sc0rian
The switch is a Military SPST Switch w/ Red Cover. you can buy them at Frozen CPU. Here is a link http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/ele-95.html
Ah thanks, ive found somewhere in the UK that sells them too now cheers http://www.maplin.co.uk/products/module.asp?CartID=040416014024101&moduleno=37319
Thanks for the replies.... Hehe...naww..Scor...its a hefty item..I'd throw it in the water and watch it sink...it would make some mean bubbles tho.. (wonder how much it really weighs I'll have to put it on a scale...)..Btw..I'll see if I can take a video next time I work on it to record the fan sounds...they're pretty loud on high...vibrates the floor next to it also..lol.. Yes Hamish...its called a Military type switch...you can either buy the cover or the whole switch...I'm not too sure of many UK sellers...(as I am in the US) but if you find just the cover..it should fit fine over any SPST toggle switch...just screws on...Many local small airstrips will have a surplus store or aviation store..check there.. Thanks again guys!
ha ha ha this is going to be great i know it, love the whole thing dude, nothing cools it better than a pair of huge mofo fans, well mod on
Hahahah! Just saw the pic of it in the back of your car!!! Man i woulda pulled over and called the bomb squad on you for sure!! Hehhe looks great!
Wow, this is a nice mod. I hope you can get to it (its summer, so it can't be that school work is keeping you busy..well..it can I guess ;D) I want to see the finished project. It's really nice as the alpha, it'll be damn sweet when finished. Regards,
Hello! Glad to see you guys still remember...been quite some time since I've been able to work on it..taken it to a couple LAN's here and there..but haven't had alot of time to work...I am getting a new apartment soon..so I'll be able to work on it alot more once I transport it there... I was gonna try to wait and get better pictures..but...heres a very small update since its last...how we say "build" Here is a very dark picture of the Control Panel and CD-rom..need to resituate the CDrom as it snags alittle of the case as it opens... Again from a diff angle... Heres a closer lighted version....you can see the fan and right behind it how the CD rom is sitting in the case...at a slight angle...I've got to do something w/ the wires...hehe... Finally the control panel w/ the CC switched on....wires block alittle bit in diff areas so thats why its not an even light....but..hopefully i can solve that by adding more CC.. also...working on getting the paint scheme set up...I'll give ya a small sample...(note..this is not the case...) Cobalt blue paint...with ghost flames throughout...probably fad the paint to black as it continues down the tube...that way it sticks w/ the overall black/blue theme..
