Oh, if you're hacking at the newer intel chipsets there's a case for adding southbridge cooling as well:D

Correct Me if I am wrong but is that 2 AGP slots in the mobo you are using?

I should be so lucky! :D Nope, the MSI K7D Master-L has only one AGP slot. No dual AGP slot mobos exist (well, none in which both can be used simultaneously, anyway). But if I'm wrong, please lat me know! :naughty:

Those are 64-bit PCI slots ("regular" PCI slots being 32 bit). Only dual CPU server motherboards tend to have those. Because of their serious bandwidth, they're great for PCI RAID cards. Most "regular" PCI cards will also fit in them but will only operate at their usual 32 bit, of course.

Sorry, didn't remember that (getting older... )

In that case there will be a little "divider" problem.
The SF800 puts out a frequency between 50 and 2000HZ (for a measured flow between 0.05 and 20.0 LPM).
Most monitoring softwares (so does MBM) permit only dividers of 1,2,4,8,16 and so on for fan headers, but the signal of the SF800 should be divided by 100 to obtain a readout in LPM.
A divider of 1 would give you a readout in cl (centiliter, 100cl=1liter).
A readout of 547 would then correspond to 547cl/minute=5.47liter/minute.

    CD :)

Update: leak test no. 2 today --it is all OK now: we got liquid cooling! :thumb: Also installed the inverters for the CCFLs (which come in nice polished aluminium casings), and finished some more wiring. The PC is very close to firing up for the first time now. Pics tomorrow, as I can't be asked to upload them right now...

Then to focus on the case lighting and outside "prettyfication"... :naughty:

aluminum inverters huh? they sound like if there was a fault to them, they wouldn't pull the recent exploding/melting inverter trick.

Sounds bling, need to find some decent inverters for my next project, the ones the CCFL's come with pop after a few months use  Glad to hear an update is on the way :D

    Update pics as promised:

The polished inverters (even though where they are mounted won't be very visible)...

And some pimp shots of the system. All the cables that are going to be in there, have been put in now. The cooling system has been filled and test-run (all OK).

I am now turning my attention to the finishing touches of the actual electronics, and trying some ideas for the inside case lighting.

Hmmm. Needs some white laserleds to highlight details. Or blue? Or red? Purple? Decisions, decisions...

When that has been done, I will start doing some cosmetic stuff to the outside of the case --side panels, mostly. EL backlight, window, details...

OK. 'nuff pimping. Time to get back to work. :dremel:
