Hello everybody and wellcome to my second project.

I haven't finished my first project but there's so few things left to do so I want to start this one.
It is a sff case, 350x460x325(WxLxH) mm . It's going to be made out of 2mm steel and 3mm red plexiglass.
Most of the parts are going to be laser cut because I want them to have perfect cuts and
I'm not so good on metal working. It's going to be powder cloated in black or in white or maybe raw metal,I haven't choosed yet.
This case will be watercooled but only on the most important components: cpu, gpu and north-bridge.
It's called Neophyte from my favorite DJ
This one is going to be built pretty fast since they are praticly no piece I have to make myself.
I still have the same money problemes but this time I will be looking for sponsors.

For the hardware I'm going to use :

    INTEL Core 2 Quad Q9450
    Asus P5E-VM mATX
    4 gig of ddr2 pc6400
    an 9800 gx2
    an 750w corsair psu
    and two 320gig hdds

I will use koolance waterblocks and a zern reservoir.
It will have a koolance 360 radiator mounted on the top and a small laing pump.

    ---------------------------

    The design

here's a small demo vid of it :

And here are some renders I made :

Great design Dark~3nergy! I really like the grey-red contrast in the renderings! :thumb: That's going to be one heavy case!

Wouldn't raw steel rust really soon? Maybe powder-coating it dark grey?

    thanks alot guys !!

yeah that's true, but I thinks they are some kind of anti rust paint so maybe I'll use that.

And btw, does anbody knows where I can get a mATX motherboard tray in europe ?

if you want the steel look why dont you just wax it cos lacquer doesnt stick (tried it on Shiny Destiny) or just paint it with a gunmetal grey no need to paint it twice the paint will protect it

    Update 2

    Update 2

today I finished the rear panel and I decided that the case will be powder coated.
first i needed a m-atx tray but the only one I could find was at performance-pcs,(and I didn't want to play 130 dollar to get one) so i had to make my own.

I toke an atx tray from my current computer (lian-li v1100).
And I fastened it on the rear part of the case :

and this morning my motherboard also came in ! :)

The tray was to big so i cuted it, and put the mobo in place :

    I think it looks great.
then i got some help from my lazy dog :hehe:

then I fasten the rear "shield" to the back with some m5 bolts.

I'm realy happy with what I've done today! :)

TIP: GUN OIL. Use gun oil, which is an Anti-Rust solution that you apply to the metal directly. It soaks (Yes into metal) in and helps prevent rust from occuring. Very effective, not to mention almost every 'rifle' in exsistance (Excluding Military Rifles and NEW Production Weapons) is of a bare metal design and you dont see those rusting now do you.

I don't know what kind of stores/business sell gun oil in switzerland (Excluding the Gun Stores), but here in Texas, we have almost as many gun stores as convenience stores. (Figure of speech)

    Regards,

    Donovan

What color for the powder? Are you still sticking with the grey?

    Looking nice so far Dark~3nergy!
I'm curious about how you are going to support the MB backplate!

BTW nice dog! He's got a great "Get out of my face" expression!

@MiLwOrkZ & 500mph: wouldn't gun oil make the case "oily"?
