Original = Awesome. Really like the foam for detail. I'm confused about your drive tray though. Any chances of a video of it in action? Even crappy phone video on youtube?

    TnX alot all!......for the complements.

Next stage will be solving a problem. Perhaps anyone of you have a good solution.

    Problem :

The moving plate will slam in the other plates if i have the pyramid end in a real point.
    see picture :

What kind of guides are you using for the lift mechanism?

You might consider a track (similar to a garage door), where you have 2 sets of guide pins and 2 tracks; the track for the lower guides being straight, and track for the upper guides having an inward bend at the bottom. This would bring the top of the panel out as it starts to raise it.

Good Idea!....i will investigate it. The guide is a small plastic strip. which guides the plate. now its a straight strip, but i could make an angled strip, which would push the plate upwards, and make the lower attachment of the plate with hinges, so it would bend with the movement.

    tnx for the idea!

    design opinions?

    Currently i got 2 design options :

The upper 1 i like better due to the fact that it is a more flowing concept and has more depht idea.
The second one has a better finishing touch (using the side sticks) because u dont see the transient if u go from 1 side to
the other, but u loose the idea of the flow.

    Any thoughts?
