    How did you do the helixes, light and all?
    Where did you peel the keyboard off of?
    What i quoted says it all, this is very sweet s*** sir. Sweet blocks also, amazing work.

    The keyboard is something out of a movie. Looks like a prop. Wicked cool.

    thanks for the compliments :)

    @elctroJunky
    a good idea but i think ill use white plexiglas
    i like the combination white, red/orange and silver
    it is perfect for a resident evil umbrella corp mod ;)

    @customholle
    you can find everything in the topic to make these helixes ;)
    the keyboard is a keysonic keyboard, there are just a few screws, and you have this nice keyboard

    @Neoki
    make your own :p :D :D

    @invalid
    thanks, thats what i wanted to make
    it should look like somethings out of a movie :)

    I knew you would say that Vito ;-)
    I'll perhaps try that myself one day... not as a keyboard mod, but rather a self designed black-plexi case (I'm tired of all those clear plexi cases) with embedded touch sensitive keys for sveral purposes...

    you know that these touch sensitive sensors are very expensive ;)
    in the past i planed a touch panel, you can find at star treck
    but it was too expensive...

    Yes I know, but I hope to find a way around.
    May be it's possible to build a matrix with the touch sensor IC QT110...
    Each QT110 (costs 2 € @"farnell in one") makes a touch sensor with a few external components.
    Now let's say instead of a single metal plate as touch sensitive (or in fact proximity sensitive) electrode you could use a thin wire. You cross that wire with another wire that is the electrode for another IC. If this works you would have 3 buttons with just 2 IC's (signals have to be processed by a µC of course).
    1st switch: sensor 1 and 2 activated
    2nd switch: sensor 1 only
    3rd switch: sensor 2 only

    Let's say we buy 10 of them (20 €) and build a 2x8 matrix. (of course a 5x5 matrix would give us 25 keys +10 for each sensor being singular activated, but only at the first look). If you wire that matrix the right way you could have at least 255 switches.
    Well, that only if you're willing to go trough the process of wiring a binary matrix.

    Anyway, if it's possible to build even a simple matrix out of touch sensitive wire electrodes one could vastly decrease the costs for applications with touch sensitive switches...
    (only compare the price for buying 25 of the IC's instead of 10 -for the simple 5x5 matrix-)

    May be even IC's with multiple electrode inputs exist, and even if not, you could still create the needed circuits from cheaper parts(that of course would at least require some googling for circuit diagrams).

    ok after some waiting i got a new case :clap:

    so i started with the logo
    its just the first test, there is still much to do
    this is just hand sawed
    now i have to start with some sanding and polishing...

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    and i got my new 15" eizo tft from ebay
    so i dismounted it and bought some hinges to get the tft later moved

    [IMG]

    here you see the size
    itll be a lot of work...

    [IMG]

    and it works
    a big thanks to Shoggy from Aqua-Computer who made this wallpaper

    [IMG]

    Edit:
    ok the round logo was not right, so is started some sanding
    i still have to polish it and so on...

    thanks :)

    @elctroJunky
    it sound good but a bit too complex for my knowledge of electronics :hehe:

    @Fatboy
    hmm ok you are right, but i also remember of a round one...
    ill try to cut the curves :dremel:

    @AJB2K3
    no it is not puplic, as i wrote it was made by Shoggy from Aqua-Computer and i dont think itll be puplic untill i finished the project :p :D :D
