I could try that, but I aint so good in making that sort of stuf, but I think I am gona take the shot.[/QUOTE]

It's not that hard to make your own just find deminsions for it then cut it out of aluminum or plexi whatever is easiest to you. Hardest part is getting the dimensions right cuase if you off 2 much then you would have to redo it but being like 1/16" off isnt going to kill you so basically just try it and if you mess up ohwell onto the AT server with nice case it is.

Why not put a small ATX motherboard in the case.
The AT size spec is 40X30 CM (13.8 X 12 inches)
A standard sized ATX motherboard is 12 X 10 inches.
If you need a small board the Abit K7V is 12 X 7.5 inches.
It supports slot A up to a XP 3200+ with a 400 FSB.
This would be a large upgrade from the AT machine.

If you look at case though it is to short for a full atx mobo. The only way he could get one to fit would be to get a smaller power supply but only way to get smaller(size wise) power is to get smaller watts and wont power full atx mobo(well it will but you dont want to) just get a micro atx mobo and reg power and you are set. if money is prob and you alrdy have ram and cpu if you look hard enough ppl sell older mobos.

    Good work with that soldering.

There is a MB thats maybe fits in that case (i used it in this mod: http://www.kusanagiweb.com/mods/Tora.htm in an old AT Case) is the Shuttle KV40MN with integrated vga. It cost to me about 50/60Euros some months ago. Size 23x22cm if i don't remeber it wrong.

Thanks. I din`t have it yet (sold it) but was too funny making it with my girlfriend (mmmm... it doesn`t sound too well, i wonder XDDD). Was made for Modding Lan Party in Madrid.

Uh. I looked the MB manual, the actual size is 230mmx200mm (micro ATX). I modified a little de back panel itself and the back panel plate to fit well PS2 ports.

I have big plans for a cool little AT case.
to fit the micro ATX mobo I will have to sacrifice a cd rom slot and put the psu vertical. I wont have to worry about cooling the cpu with a tall hsf because it will be water cooled. there will be enough room above the mobo, and beside the psu to put a 80mm fan/rad.

just an idea so you dont trow away all your great work!

cool! I allso modded old AT-case as my first mod :) That still is only case I've totally modded.. Now I'm maybe about to mod another AT-case or two cases (I have AT-case and he's clone :p ) those'd serve as server...

I'd maybe paint that "Quake 2"-text another way. I'd mask that text before spraying whole case with that freak-paint :D I'm not sure if it'd be better way, just said how I'd do it...

    Nice project and keep moddin'!

hey Gizmo there is a way of fitting an ATX motherboard in there.

cut the front (er back? depending on how you think about it) plate off an old PSU so you have the fan hole and power lead sockets.

Stuff a new PSU in the bottom corner under the drive bays and run some heavy duty wires from the back of the old plate at the top of the case to the new PSU at the bottom, that way you can plug it in normally have a fan at the top to aid cooling and fit a ful lsize motherboard in to boot :D

    like this sorry for crudity

I used a jigsaw to cut it out and a dremmel to make it look better. Then I have gone around the eges of what I cutted out with a soldeer iron and tin (is it called like that?)

This is how I'm going to fit ATX-mobo to AT-case: Doublepower!

I lifted cd+PSU-rack on top of case :) I think it's too late for u to do that 'cause you are going to use original sides... But U can still mount ATX-power like I did :dremel: detailed pic

Dude. Seriously clever PSU placement ideas.

I will have to remember this if I come about an AT case or a MicroATX that I want to stuff a full-size into.

er remember it goes without saying if you use my idea buy enclosed 3 pin plugs! Don't just solder the wires and leave it. You do not want 230/110 volts without some kind of insulation between it and your PC inarrds and more importantly, you.

Oh yea. Without question. Anyone that has been zapped before probably knows this by now.

But its better to warn them first.
