    Hi folks,

I've run out of talent on this one and need some help please.

A QNAP NAS (Linux OS, EXT 4 I think) containing 2 discs (RAID1) was given to me for data recovery. The owner accidentally recreated the RAID array hence the volume shows as empty.

I have one of the discs in a caddy and have installed TestDisk, though I'm unsure of how best to proceed.

    Much love!

    Cleggy.

First make a backup of the disk either clone it or use acronis or something.

There are some free data recovery tools that i have had some success with although I forget the names of them now. Although Google is your friend.

Never used this myself and not sure how accurate it is but Google gave the following link.
    http://www.freeraidrecovery.com/library/raid-rebuild.aspx

Just be sure to clone the disk or something first.
