Evening all, I'll get straight to the point, currently using a windows 7 home premium box as a file server, this i used to mange through remote desktop connection, but for the past month or so (been looking on the internet trying to find an answer with no luck) when connecting, after the configuring remote session dialog, remote desktop closes and returns to showing the main connection window. I've had a look at the logs on both boxes (remote and source) and can see nothing other than it authenticates correctly, but then immediately end the remote session, I cant remember the exact time it stopped working but could this be a windows update gone wrong? Any help here would be much appreciated.
I could be wrong, but I thought you couldn't connect to home premium, you could only connect to pro from home premium. I could be wrong though. Try vnc instead?
Anything but this! These just can't match RDP for quality. Uninstall KB3003743 and you'll be back to normal (Actually, following a restart if things don't return to normal - you may need to run the RDP patcher again)
Cheers TheStockBroker got it working again now, uninstalled both KB3003743 & KB2984972 and all back to normal. Cheers
