So we start out today with a SSD sandwich.
    Double sided taped together.

All SATA cables made and fitted:

Doing a dry fit run on the lid:

    Piano hinge screwed down:

    All snug:

    Test glass fitting:

Drilling into the lid, but why?

What's this shiny beast, you will see soon:

    Grommet cut out and fitted:

    Yup nice monitor arm:

    Lid is silicone'd into place:

    New monitor attached:

Fits like a glove... You can also see all the mess I have made, oops:

    Testing it out... So pwetty:

Nice ultra wide monitor, works nicely:

Its actually really comfortable sitting here:

And a nice celebratory drink, for a job well done :)

    Testing it out:

Gotta finish off the cable management. But the buttons look good :)

    Quite a nice arm:

    And the finishing bottle :)

There are still little bits to get done.
Like I haven't connected any of the LED's under the mobo, as I want to control the lighting if possible so its not too bright.

The network cables aren't in the correct place.

And just general bits and pieces here and there.

I will also get some professional pictures done once its completed!
Its been about a year almost but its so worth it.

Amazing. That looks like a godly setup, grats!

Question, what molex kit did you use for the HDD/SSD power? I would love to make a custom setup for my own build.

    Totally love it!

One last thing I would do which will look awesome in this build .. remove the red HDD stickers :)

    Thanks mate :)

    The Molex are from kustompcs.co.uk
    And I make them myself.

The SATA connectors are from MDPC

    Thanks Peter!
Its a great honour coming from you... You were one of the main inspiration's for me to actually do this. I love your desk, so I had to do one for myself.

And yes, I still have some little things to do to finish it off.
And removing the stickers is one of them :)

Dude this is a excellent mix of carpentry skills and nice hardware choices.
The fans that are on the angle near your left leg, are they push or pull?
I ask this as I would have put fans on the other side of the rad as it looks rather bare.
But it is an awesome piece of work my friend.
    Well done!

    +Rep! :)

    Thanks buddy :)

Ye they pull air from inside the desk and expel it out.

I kinda wanted the bare look, but this is all stuff I can work on in the future.

    Soooo....

I was thinking of taking of taking off the Sabertooth armour and spraying it white.
You can see it here in this pic:

    Anyone have any thoughts?

Leave it black! Other than that, cover that stock fan logo and Ni-doc the drives, -probably easier than sticker removal. You might want to figure out what drive letter each one is and label them.
Anyway, Looks fantastic.:D The rest of the room will just have to stay dirty now that you have a running 'pooter.

A little taste on what I have been working on currently...

Its going to take awhile before I'm fully done with this, but I think the results will speak for themselves.

    Hehe sorry man.

Started a new job and lots of changes.

    Project isn't dead.
Still need to finish up the cable stitching (man what a pain).

I have clean out the loop and changed to a UV Blue now, will take some pics.
Got a UV strip as well and a switch for it.
So need to mount both of them.

But I'm thinking of changing to UV Green soon (for team green).

Got a few more cables to tidy up and hide away.

But hopefully should get some proper pics done in April if my brother in-law comes around.

    Some cable tidying...
Decided to forget the stitching as there were some really awkward areas.

Well done! Don't you mind Alu in the motherboard radiator? It could give you some problems in a few years

    Its already giving me problems...
So I have a EK mobo block to replace it with.

Just waiting for the Mayhems Blitz cleaner to arrive and some different colours to test out.

Then I will yank it all out and replace the mobo block, and maybe run a loop around to the south bridge. It could look pretty good, but be difficult to bend around the GPU without obstructing the 5.25" bays.
