There's something so emotive about it... by all accounts it's a bit of a rubbish car though, sadly not the poor man's 8C :/

Apparently a terrible ride, interior of a Mito and horrific tramlining

Yeah... the 4c is a STUNNING looking car, but it IS expensive, and it's not as good to live with or drive as the competitors (notably the Porsches)

Went to a Cartier classic car show on Saturday. Haven't had time to clean up my DSLR pictures (and I was shooting a 50mm, so it's mostly detail stuff anyway) but here's a couple from my phone.

I shot PJS 3 because my dad's first car many zillions of years ago also had a PJS plate, and I thought he'd like it. The 1920 Moon because I'd never heard of the type before and it was gorgeous. Lots of lovely cars at the show, including a boat-tailed 1928 Rolls hunting car, an obscene Caddy V16, a MG TC roadster (restored and owned by a friend), and a 1933 Minerva with a landaulet rear end.

Furniture delivery/installation. Ridiculously expensive stuff. £80k beds and the like.

80K beds? I thought mine was expensive at £150 :hehe:

I bet that you get into some seriously nice homes in that case.. I don't think I could do it, I would probably be ready to commit with jealousy!

Take into account that a mid-terrace house in Hackney will set you back £1.5m now and jealousy is not something I have to suffer that often. More incredulous disbelief.

The house with the 4C though was rather nice.

How do people even get that kind of money! Just imagine the lifestyle... Fair point on house prices, but in some not as expensive locations there are serious houses for that money. In Newcastle where I am from, £1.5m will get you a very very nice mansion and a lot of land.. In, quite frankly a nice area...

I agree with you on that one. Personally I want to get out of the South-East. Too many people and ridiculous house prices coupled with over-development.

A friend of mine is selling his house for £300k. So far every couple that have looked at it are first time buyers in their early 20's. Just gobsmacked.

It's crazy, this is the difference of moving up the country...

You even get change from your £1.5m, to buy a nice car :)

To think, down that way you spend that same money on a mid terrace is just, well scary!

A similar sized house to that Newcastle one round here would probably be £4-5m.

EDIT: Should stress that down here means South Bucks, Durham isn't quite that expensive.

Christ, that Woodcroft one would require sunglasses to be worn indoors 24/7 :cooldude:

Seriously, that's the whitest house I've ever seen inside.

I'm guessing you work down there, or moved?

Yes, I do agree.. :hip: I just picked a couple with out checking them! There are some nicer houses for less, obviously area based...

I study at Durham Uni, my parents (and by extension, me for a reasonable part of the year) live in Bucks.

Saw a DB9 on the M1 this morning. Certainly wouldn't be my choice of vehicle, but nice all the same.

In other news my Caddy is coming closer by the day to being on the road :D
