Might be worth waiting until winter, where cost of living hits and cause the non-business market to start offering deals. If you are not in need of a car urgently. (eg. MOT date)

Cost of living won't impact a great deal as companies are already trying to cope with managing component part increases due to inflation and shipping cost, if anything, in 6 months it is probably more likely there will be a price rise.... a correction is someway off, you need some oversupply to happen first.

The cars I have on order have increased in price over the past year, I have even had order an cancelled during the wait due to component shortages being moved to next model year with less kit and a nice price bump.

That said carwow offered upto 12% off the 308GT PHEV which is a big chunk of change so deals are out there, that would make a PCP deal palatable with potential to profit in the future as its a decent PHEV with big battery.

I think it was perhaps an stock deal so maybe a pre reg for <£32k. I was putting in some cars due to my recent incident to see what I could find available and had a look at that.

Yeah, there's a long lead time, Skoda, Hyundai and Kia all quoted 1 year for their EV's. It's also likely price will increase every few months. Best bet is to place an order now that is not too expensive and flexible (eg. Tesla will honour the price at time of order and you can push back delivery if you wish)

I was just thinking the way lease/PCP works, monthly payment may become unaffordable for some. This may lead to a small scale drop in demand, which then have a knock on effect to lease companies who will have cancelled orders.

Of course, my thinking may be untrue due to wrong assumptions........ sorry.

It could happen, who really knows :D

Quite a lot of people are shifting to the salary sacrifice to get the cheaper monthly and are loving it from a lease perspective, not for me though, my bonuses and pension are all based off of my salary, it would cost me more than I'd save, though if I could buy it at the end then I might have a different view.
