    Oh dear.

    Is it really that bad?

I paid full price as well, but at the moment it's just sitting there on my "to play" list.

Hmm, scatology v Crysis 2. It's a toughie (well not the former, anyway).

I think crysis 2 is good. 5.1 speakers turned up loud, nice clear screen. A.I. can be bogus at times but frankly I think this game is very enjoyable, easily give it 8/10.........which is definitely better than smearing animal crap lol

    NO!!! YOU MUST CONFORM!!!

Joking aside, if you liked Bioshock, you'll like this. Besides, you can only carry two guns at a time (apart from a special gun now and again) so simply replace the assault rifle with the minigun!
Heh, Gunnie's being a little melodramatic but unfortunately it doesn't live up to the hype. Still a relatively solid game once it gets going - and you can confirm if I'm right or not!
    Meh, who cares? :)

    Here's another feature I like:

I don't know about you, but I generally have my two favourite weapons and stick to them for most of the game, whether it's COD or BFBC2 or whatever.

Yes, it's nice to come across a specialised weapon every now and then, but I generally don't want to drop one of my favourites and lug around a specialist weapon on the off chance I may or may not need it.

Singularity does away with this - you get your favourite two, which you can swap around Bad Company 2-style at designated nodes on the map as well as with dropped enemy weapons, but it also conveniently provides said specialist weapons just when you have a real need for them.

Actually "need" is too strong a word, as you don't have to use them - your default weapons will always suffice.

But it is nice to be able to pick up that particular weapon, shoot up the bad guys that special "wow factor" way, then go back to your default pair and carry on with the job in hand.

Those who've played Singularity will know what I mean when I say "the bridge section" - but I won't say any more as that may spoil it for others. :)

I let my son watch me play this (bad Dad - he's a little bit too young) but he was squealing with delight on seeing this.

    But then so was I!

That exchange was actually quite an entertaining read. :D

Just to clarify, theoretically a reticule could work like that (e.g. the EOTECH) but it's clearly wrong for the red dot sight they based it off.

I've also got Singularity but not played it yet! But you've just made me want to play it!! Lol. It was when you said gameplay is a mixture of Bioshock (which I loved!) FEAR (which I loved!) Dead Space 2 (which again I also loved!) and Bulletstorm (not quite sure what I think to that yet?) that made me want to install and play it.

    Cheers Pete lol :D

I really enjoyed it as well, graphics weren't jaw-dropping but fit the mood, good story (time manipulation > terrorists) and interesting mechanics totally at home with the likes of BioShock and HL2. I actually pirated it a while back (oh noooo!) but then bought it on Steam sale recently since I think it deserves it since shooters with more brains than CoD/BF are far and few between and completely underappreciated imho.
