They make brilliant games of a different genre, I'd be interested to see where they're going with this.

As long as EA dont ruin any more of the games industry by buying this and pumping out dried up beaten to death sequal after ...... sequal.

Square could revive theses franchises (Hitman, Tomb Raider and Thief) and make them fantastic again. Hope this goes through.

If Eidos don't take the offer I'd be amazed and then I'd say something like "Well, that shows why their recent Tomb Raider games have flopped"

Just don't mess with the Hitman Franchise.
It was a Danish concept. Thoroughbred. Then Eidos bought IO Interactive. Just don't f**k with it. Plz.

I doubt it. Look at their lacking quality since aquiring Enix/Tri-Ace. Both recent Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean games have not matched up to the quality of their titles released under Enix before the merger.

I can see how it might help squeenix, give them staff and facilities that might help them in the European market.

I didnt see the benefit at first, it seems like an odd choice for Square, but thinking about it again, it could be just the exact thing that Tomb Raider needs to revamp the game, there is only so much that they can do at the moment with the current style, they have done a great job on the recent games, I enjoyed most of them, except the angel of darkness obviously.

I wouldnt mind a bit of Japanisation to tomb raider, maybe she gets some ninja and samaurai skills. I wouldnt mind seeing lara swing about with a stupidly oversized sword.
