Hello guys, i have here one SSD that was in a office, and they did a remake in the office, so they gave away some parts, including this SSD. A few problems found while trying to format / instaling windows or Unbutu. - Error 0x80300024 ( this one appeared when i tried to instal windows) - Error:16014 ( this one appears when i boot the SSD), shows this error then a DELL home with Login - error input/output error during write on /dev/sda ( this appeared when i tried to instal unbutu or when i try to erase the data in SSD). Also, i tried Hirens CB BOOT, and same error, also, tried Parted Magic and i can't create new partions, same error ( error input/output error during write on /dev/sda). BTW: in Parted Magic shows good health life and passed the tests. I think i used all my ideas, and i dont know what to do now... btw i'm on a laptop.
Have you tired to do ata secure erase on it? You can do it with the parted magic. This should set it back to factory state. If that dosen't resolve it then the only thing you can really do with it is to pursue any warranty it might have.
Errr maybe that's why they were binned? Anyway, see if the drives can be flashed with a newer firmware and maybe try a samung utility. If the drive was here with me I would try using EaseUS Partition master Server edition. If that cannot format or kill a partition then nothing can.
