So, a suggestion for a guild name:

Relix Conglomerate

This can then be split out in to divisions, such as Relix Industries, Relix Exploration etc. Thoughts?

EDIT: Division titles:
- Relix Industries (Mining, production)
- Relix Logistics (Shipping and trade)
- Relix Aerospace (Combat, trade lane escort, bounty hunting)
- Relix Exploration (Long range exploration, solo work)
- Relix Securities (Capital ship fleet, military ops)
- Relix Cheescake (Secret R&D, black ops, pirating)

Obviously the divisions would work together - Industries would pass goods on to Logistics, which would be escorted by Aerospace. The Exploration and Securities arm would be more independent.

I think you're right, so it would be the Relix Conglomerate with the various divisions. Yes, one can be the division of cheesecake (R&D, obviously).

Need to wait for the registration of corporations/guilds to start though.

I'll either end up being in the Relix Industry or Logistics division, debating between production or trade as my main profession.

Not sure I'd be at the making guild stage game not due till 1st quater 2015, seems to be taking ages to get anyplace.

 

If we're going to do that stupid Relix crap then I'll have to bow out. I've always hated it and never understood the infatuation with the stupid boy.

 

I'm not massively bothered, I don't even know the history behind it. I'd rather have a name that everybody likes. Any suggestions Phalanx?

 

Looking forward to the dog-fighting module more but I'll be taking look around my Freelancer.

 

None that spring to mind that people can relate to, but in terms of names I like the sound of, just take the word Relix out and you have an instant militaristic/mercenary merging:

Rollo, the reason for planning this far in advance is simply that there are already multiple guilds/squadrons being set up, so 'popular' names will be gone. We don't need to do anything more than make sure we're ready the minute they open up registrations for the guilds.

I actually just came. WHY AM I AT WORK?

 

Downloading now! 3GB patch, and a 35MB launcher.

 

I'm dreading installing this as I just know that it will ultimately lead to me buying more ships.

 

I know that feeling...Although at the moment it is not letting me download even the installer
I guess I'll have to try in a bit again.....
