With 42 to 45 percent of uk marriages ending in divorce. It appears to be reasonably likely that a married person will have to go through divorce proceedings. Whilst no one starts out intending to get divorced, given the figures it seems prudent to protect your assets.
It also depends on how many times you've been screwed by someone else. (so to speak) I had to go insolvent in my early twenties, because I was so eager to keep a loved one happy. Sad to say, but I need that protection now. To know that If it happend again, I'd be somewhat in a better situation.
Perhaps there's a hidden market here for relationship insurance I fear that the administrations of said insurance might end up being a bit of a minefield, and it would be about as open to abuse as possible.
well, considering Insurance is one of the biggest cons of our lifetime............why not?! People have insurance for a multitude of other things. why not relationships I wonder If I could get cover for fire and theft.........hmmm

I do have a stash, it's only really secret from those that don't need to know. Basically it's for use if the worst ever happens, I don't know how long insurances take to pay out, so there is enough money to pay for a few months living expenses in the event of my death if it takes longer than normal for the insurance to pay.
