I have a sponsor Mnpctech has kindly sent me a sponsorship package from his store. The package arrived and I will have pics later this afternoon as I haven't opened it yet. Thanks, Bill john
Thanks. I just got back from the dog breeder with Marilyn's new puppy. King Charles Cavalier female. One more trip to the beverage store and I'll be back to open teh box! john
I've been head scratching and asking questions on a couple forums about laying out radiator/fans like several others here. I've been using E.E.Ls paper templates from mnpctech a lot. I have bragged them up on several forums. I intend to do 2 120mm x 3 rad/fans and 1 120mm x 2 rad/fans. 3 loops may future proof the full tower. So anyway. Bill sent me the laser cut templates for a dual and a triple rad/fan. Sweet. I'll be 'what if'ing for a long time now. I also found an unexpected surprise in the box. A 120 x 3 acrylic fan guard! This is quality. I've mentioned that I will stay with the black and alum colour scheme. Guess what else fell out of the box? New alum feet for the build Baby's got new shoes! More pics of the goodies in use tomorrow. I be measuring and layin out! Thanks Bill, these are really needed. john
I started with the double on the front They all line up perfectly with the Lian-Li hole spacing. I'll need todo some filling on the front for the top 120mm but the templates make things real easy Thanks Bill and E.E.L.
Thinking is hard work! I'm playing with a concept in my head. All the space is blocked off except the full ATX motherboard space. How about a 3 x 120 rad/fan? Vertically? Don't remember seeing any like this or mounted like others horizontally across bottom As you can see, there is a ton of white here. Enhance your calm. That's just some foam I had laying around. Plan is polished alum or alum and black plexi. Lots of places for embellishments - engraving, cut outs with CCFL or LED illum., or what do you suggest? john
If you do the rad on the bottom you will have to do something with the PSU. But you know that already. You certainly did box everything in. I'm interested to see what happens.
Way too much squareness I think. Needs Boddaker, or Cheaps, or E.E.L. or Craigbru or MV or someone to slap me. Big square case outside. Interior could negate the rectangle case. Moulded fiberglas? Curved plexi and alum? freeform sprayed foam interior? I haz modders block. I can put a whole ITX system into a Bernouli Box or a child's washer(Casdon 379) or H2O-C7, but this is just too big. I can't grasp full tower or full ATX!
So how's the exterior gonna be styled? If you haven't decided that but have some ideas, then maybe make a poll? The only suggestion i have to is mount the radiator horizontally up top, which is good for cooling and gets 2 of the fans a little out of sight, and the 3rd is hidden and helping to cool hdd's etc. The squareness would still look very cool if it's all polished alu & black plexi! A polished aluminium horizontal tube cpu duct setup would be a nice curved feature, maybe have alu tube fan ducts for the gpu & ram aswell? Your foam suggestion reminded me of those lizard enclosures with all the fake foam rocks! That would also look pretty cool instead of the flat interior covers!
Oh noes did I just see Crocks?!?!! From the lingerie-troll pictures I thought you were a gentleman of great taste, and now this...
The company is 20 miles away! I haz red, blue, black, and tan. Support Colorado - buy Crocs. Just stay away from escalators
Put a big horkin' tube reservoir on the front if you want to change the shape. -Wait... That's what I did, and I thought it was a cheap trick. Just don't add a turbine fan hole to the front... I think that has been done enough.
