now does the game come with sound effects or do we have to provide our own like when we were children. What am i say we are all still children at heart, which is why this game sounds so cool.

Excellent! I thought I had reached nirvana when the zapper was announced!
Just wondering though, in the duel mode i'm guessing you can wield the wiimote with both hands but it just wont be the same using a lightsaber one handed so that i can move at the same time.

The lightsabre feature sounds great and I'm looking forward to how it's used -- I hope it's not just pre-determined movements dictated by how you flick the remote but rather a proper 1 for 1 control.

What worries me tho is the rest of the game. The Wii isn't known for it's outstanding or, let's be honest, 'great' graphics, so I couldn't imagine the rest of the game being up to scratch. I hope the sabre feautre isn't the selling point.

That being said, I'd much rather a "sabre only" game - perhaps a split screen/multi player one -- now THAT'd be fun!

The Wii isn't about graphics, it's all about game play. Definitely has to be proper motion sensing control, that annoyed on Zelda with the pre-set sword moves.

I reckon they should add in dual wield with 2 remotes, and let you move around with the d-pad. That would be real ownage!

woohoo!! This sounds awesome.. I sure hope it's full-motion swinging of the Wii-mote and no pre-determined swing animations

Regardless of what the Wii is "about" or not, the game is supposed to make heavy use of physics for throwing people around. With the Wii having weaker hardware it could be gimped in this department, which would affect gameplay. As for the lightsaber control, hopefully its not a cheap add-in for PR, hopefully they take the time to do it well.

This could be really good, along with the complete saga Lego Star wars this is a good year for the star wars gaming franchise me thinks?

    YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

Only trouble is I've gotten so used to playing Jedi and FPS games on the PC with much better graphics than the Wii can produce that it might mean this game isn't that great to look at - but you do get to swing the remotes around so I reckon I can put up with that.
Plus I can think of plenty of old PC games that are now graphically dreadful (Duke Nukem 3D) or at least very basic (X-Com games) by today's standards but have absolutly rock sold gameplay that they are still brilliant. The Dark Forces games on the PC were very good for their time and with DF2-Jedi Knght you got to use a light sabre (as far as I'm aware) for the first time - oh boy was that a brilliant feeling.

I am a bit concerned that the actual light sabre combat might be a bit dull as a lot of it does involve some force enhanced acrobatics (think CGI Yoda in Eps 2 & 3), this might be a bit tricky to implement succesfully and the duels might be a bit more like Vader & Obi-Wan in a New Hope - i.e. like two old men having a regular sword fight.

I want to be wrong I really do but I have this nagging doubt.

it has weaker hardware, but its hardware is not weak, if you design and improve the performance from a game to a certain specific platform you can gain a hell lot of performance, and about graphics.... if the gaycube had awesome graphics in resident evil i can see the wii have better graphics.
