2010 entry list has been announced by the FIA, with only 12 entrants on it - Sauber being left out. Also, Manor has had a name change: http://www.planet-f1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5736017,00.html Code: 1 Jenson BUTTON (GB) VODAFONE McLAREN MERCEDES McLAREN MERCEDES 2 Lewis HAMILTON (GB) VODAFONE McLAREN MERCEDES McLAREN MERCEDES 3 Nico ROSBERG (D) BRAWN GP FORMULA ONE TEAM BRAWN MERCEDES 4 TBA BRAWN GP FORMULA ONE TEAM BRAWN MERCEDES 5 Sebastian VETTEL (D) RED BULL RACING RED BULL RENAULT 6 Mark WEBBER (AUS) RED BULL RACING RED BULL RENAULT 7 Felipe MASSA (BR) SCUDERIA FERRARI MARLBORO FERRARI 8 Fernando ALONSO (E) SCUDERIA FERRARI MARLBORO FERRARI 9 Rubens BARRICHELLO (BR) AT&T WILLIAMS WILLIAMS COSWORTH 10 Nico HULKENBERG (D) AT&T WILLIAMS WILLIAMS COSWORTH 11 Robert KUBICA (PL) RENAULT F1 TEAM RENAULT 12 TBA RENAULT F1 TEAM RENAULT 14 Adrian SUTIL (D) FORCE INDIA F1 TEAM FORCE INDIA MERCEDES 15 Vitantonio LIUZZI (I) FORCE INDIA F1 TEAM FORCE INDIA MERCEDES 16 Sebastien BUEMI (CH) SCUDERIA TORO ROSSO STR FERRARI 17 TBA SCUDERIA TORO ROSSO STR FERRARI 18 TBA LOTUS F1 RACING LOTUS COSWORTH 19 TBA LOTUS F1 RACING LOTUS COSWORTH 20 TBA CAMPOS META 1 CAMPOS DALLARA 21 Bruno SENNA (BR) CAMPOS META 1 CAMPOS DALLARA 22 TBA US F1 TEAM US F1 COSWORTH 23 TBA US F1 TEAM US F1 COSWORTH 24 Timo GLOCK (D) VIRGIN RACING VIRGIN COSWORTH 25 TBA VIRGIN RACING VIRGIN COSWORTH I suppose it's an apt name change - I mean, it is a Virgin F1 team.
Its interesting that both sauber and toyota aren't on the list, i was under the impression toyota would be on the list as they had signed the concord, and the FIA were going to make them field a team. So for neither team to be listed seems a little odd tbh.
Jacques Villeneuve driving for Lotus? Possibly http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5738923,00.html Id like to see him back in a car, but im unsure of whether he can achieve anything.
+1 Its nice to see the smaller teams getting in and ill be over the moon if prodrive are on the grid next year. But without the resources of the manufacturer teams can the sport survive? In other news sauber have been given the last free space on the grid http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5743486,00.html
More good news! Sauber definitely on the grid in 2010: http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5743486,00.html
And rumors RIPE (again) of Renault pulling out as a team, with ProDrive rumored to be poised to buy the team as-is.
Kimi's off to the WRC with Citroen's junior team: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8394585.stm
So has he been completely passed over by the Fiat group then? They're supposed to be making a return to rallying next year, and I'm sure he could secure more than a junior seat. Hell, if he really wanted he could just buy his own damn team.
Silverstone decision imminent - Damon will be holding a press conference on Monday: http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5746852,00.html
Apparently it's signed and sealed, and the press conference is to announce the deal: http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5750720,00.html
YES! http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5753246,00.html Silverstone to host the British GP for the next 17 years GOO is now officially doing the dance of joy.
