Hopefully he'll still have the dexterity needed to operate the car correctly, but as Massa proved after his accident - it's not just about physical fitness, it's mental as well. After so long out of the game and away from racing it'll take a good while for him to pick up competitive racing again.

Ironically he should probably start rallying and karting again. :hehe:

    Good news though.

I (In my so-far-behind reality fashion) just watched the Monza race last night - had watched quali the night before. T'was an exciting race. All that MSC and HAM action was good fun to watch - as were the many ventures onto the grass by Hamilton, Alonso and Vettel. All in all one of the best races of the season for me, based on pure drama, nostalgia and (bar Seb) interesting results.

Going to watch Singapore quali tonight - Our Sky box is looking mighty full these days! :hehe:

Just something for you all to look at, might put you off your tea, don't say you weren't warned.

And to cleanse your palette a bit of WTF? from Japan.

I like Canon's perception of Seb. Have to say mine is a little different.

First picture is a broken link :( I'm curious now.

It's a very good point about the mental state being so important regarding Kubica's return. I'd like to think he'll thrive from it though given how after his Canada accident he returned better than ever. Yes, I know it was nothing by comparison but it was still a terrifying incident and did give him some injuries.

I'm surprised they didn't intentionally typo his name to say 'Christian Hornier' lol

Thankfully there is no driver in the car. The slightest movement of that arm could result in quite a right wing mirror view, the exception to the 1 move rule I think.

Random question for you all; Who or what does the "Always with us: Christian" slogan on the side of Liuzzi's HRT above the pod refer to? As far as I know, that's a cancer ribbon beside the text, but my google-fu has not been able to dig anything up on the subject.

Still taken from BBC1 coverage of qualifying for the F1 2011 Grand Prix of Singapore, first broadcast 08-09-11:

It's to commemorate Christian Bakkerud who used to work for Kolles, and died on 11/09/11. :)

    [edit]Heh, out crapped.

Is it the Christian who Hamilton pointed out on BBC that he had on top of his helmet?

Yes Anthony Hamilton came up with the idea to commemorate two drivers that died recently with some black lettering on top of his helmet, just initialed.

It was not two drivers!! :duh: The other was Martin Heinz who was a big figure in karting and responsible for connecting many young British karters with they're first sponsors and managers, helping them with transport arrangements and providing a lot of sage advice. Many British racing drivers owe a lot to Martin.

Canon, if you can't speak objectively about Hamilton because you have such a hard on for him, maybe you should stay clear of the subject.
