Thought as there is a computer related photography thread lets have a People/Portrait thread . Start off with a little mix Carissa (collaberation with MUA & Stylist) Carissa (headshot) by Kiteninja (Morgan Lee), on Flickr Donna (Location Trash the dress shoot) Donna (Old Portsmouth) by Kiteninja (Morgan Lee), on Flickr Mikaela (Front Style shoot) Mikaela by Kiteninja (Morgan Lee), on Flickr I've seen some cracking shots from other people so hopeing this takes off .
Nothing really new on flickr, and I'm not near my storage box, but here are some: Personal training company wanted some PR stuff and Iona wanted some memories of her liquor store right before she sold it to Woolworths. We went out smacking fruit with another photographer and SuzyJ, a fashion designer, needed a shot for PR. Tanya was days from shifting her Jewelry store to a new location, and the HSBC racing school PR team needed some stuff of this guy. I should really update my Flickr, I'll give it a bash this evening.
Same here, nothing new I'm afraid. Unfortunately I find shooting people about the hardest thing to do in photography. It's not that it can't be done, more that I get nervous about poking a lens in people's direction. Little Sis by silverfish51, on Flickr Little sis. It was a quick shot with a FA 50mm at 1.4 iir. IMGP3352 by silverfish51, on Flickr IMGP3346 by silverfish51, on Flickr Right time, right place. IMGP3366 by silverfish51, on Flickr Another quick shot. This guy is actually very tall and the espresso cups were tiny in his hands by comparison. Fathers_Day_2009 by silverfish51, on Flickr This one's a little bit of a cheat. A shop I did for a Father's Day card back in 2009, but I liked how it came out.
I like this idea, especially since I am terrible at shooting people (and getting them to even stand in front of the camera in the first place). That said, I have a few people shots that I quite like, mostly luck. My cousin and her dad, back when I was using my sister's 450D and 18-55 kit lens. Right place, right time: Nyra Kissing Daddy by angad84, on Flickr Here's where it gets fun. This was a shot that I had wanted to do for quite a while, given that her eyes are very pretty: An Eye For An Eye by angad84, on Flickr But during the same session (if you can call it that - just messing about on the balcony, really), I got this one that I liked most of the 5-6 shots I got that day: Ha! by angad84, on Flickr Then there's this, which was a product of my 50D's meter randomly giving up on me: Windy Part Deux by angad84, on Flickr I like this one because it was done using only available light, yet I got it almost exactly the way I wanted: Seksi by angad84, on Flickr First time doing dark/event shots, rather liked this one: Arab Rap by angad84, on Flickr This one was pure luck but no complaints from me. I literally fist-pumped when I saw it in LR3. Probably going to frame it for her: Happy To Be Done by angad84, on Flickr And this one because the light drizzle is visible. The Graduate by angad84, on Flickr I intend to keep slogging at it (thankfully I have somewhat obliging friends) until I get better.
Some of my favourite shots; Not necessarily stages portrait shots, but most of the stuff I enjoy is either street and or candid;
Ok, the family friendly stuff (check out my Flickr for the more glamour/bikini style stuff) Samie by JazzXP, on Flickr Sian J by JazzXP, on Flickr Mishy F by JazzXP, on Flickr Sian J by JazzXP, on Flickr Plenty more family friendly stuff, but this is the stuff from the last few months.
Hard light would of worked I think with a different model its made her nose look much bigger then it should and she looks a bit man ish :S nothing against the model its just the way the harsh shadows have fallen.
Yeah, quite possibly. Was just doing a bit of experimentation that night anyway (played around with feathering a large softbox too for added contrast), and these are a couple of photos that came out of it.
Quick one from the weekend shoot with Lauren will start filtering the rest onto my flickr. Apart from the crop its straight out the camera. Lauren by Kiteninja (Morgan Lee), on Flickr
Couple shots from a set I submitted to a modeling agency during my Interview Wednesday . 1 Debra-7 by Kiteninja (Morgan Lee), on Flickr 2 Debra-3 by Kiteninja (Morgan Lee), on Flickr 3 Debra-5 by Kiteninja (Morgan Lee), on Flickr
I recently finished a collection of photos of my baby. I took one photo each day for the first year of her life. I'm creating a photo book at the moment of the results. This is a few I picked out. Most were taken on a Samsung GX20 and Sigma 50mm F2.8 apart from the odd one or two may have been on a Lumix TZ7, the kit 18-55mm lens or Tamron 70-300. Being indoors flash was used most of the time and was either a Jessops 360AFD or when that broke a Metz 48 AF-1.
Rachael as a Barbie Doll (which is why the skin is sooooo smooth and plasticy) Rachael Barbie Doll by JazzXP, on Flickr
2nd Shoot with Debra, went to Country park just caught some of the sunset. Debra-3 by Kiteninja (Morgan Lee), on Flickr
Thought I'd bump this thread - I like having all the people shots together. Rachael by JazzXP, on Flickr
That chair! It really looks like it's part of the baby and there's some weird tumour like growths sprouting from the child. Superb use of of flash/ambient.
