Rubbing compound is probably in reference to cutting compound - you can buy it at automotive stores (we have repco over here, I guess halfords is yours?)

Just asking for car paint cutting compound - its basically a paste 1500 grit sandpaper. Apply it with cheese cloth (hole-filled cloth that will allow the sludge to go through) and rub the entire panels over just as if you were waxing it. Works perfectly.

Case looks wicked, nice colour, very different. Yea like was said above I believe you should change the colour of the grill on the side, I don't reckon gold would look good with it.

Wow looking nice, i wanna see some pics of thoses lazer led's im thinking of buying some, but the case is looking sweet does look a bit weird with the inside not being srayed.

You're all right though i definitely need to spray the chassis black all over, so none of the steel shows through anywhere.

Im gonna go degrease it now. Need to raise cash for the black paint tho...

As for the grills i like em! Purple and gold/yellow are complimentary and they look fab together imo.

Once the insides are sprayed and the silver is gone i think the grills will look much better.

Anyway lets see how this goes

I think it'll look great after you paint the chassis, I searched around, but couldn't find anything.... I was thinking, you need butterfly fan grills, you need the obvious feminine touch. Other than color. I'll look later for some feminine stuff... but tis time to head to work. I'll be starting a work log as soon as my Cooler Master Praetorian comes in the mail. Hopefully I'll get some input on it. I may post some pics of my first mod so far (DVD-ROM window).

i am quite happy with it being just purple, although that could be seen as gay pride rather than girly..

but if any one can think of ways to add that "feminine touch" it would be cool

If I get the time this weekend, I have some spare steel lying around, I could make you a grill or two. Don't quote me on that though. I'll let you know what I come up with.

looks nice i did a nice blue/gold pearlescent (shiny) paintjob on project whiteout, imo you should get some etching for those windows hell ive just thought, if you want to go girly to the extreme, put a bubble machine blowing out thru the front
