Trouble is i felt so removed from the character i was controlling i didn't care about the story. Couldn't get at all immersed in the game.
Mass Effect (both of them) are games that I enjoyed the first time... but on a second playthrough, couldn't get in to. Much like Deus Ex: Human Revolution. For that reason, ME3 will wait until I a) want to risk Origin and b) are dirt cheap.
Several months on, after several declarations that I'm starting to play it, I still haven't gotten more than about an hour into Mass Effect. I know it's a good game, I can tell it's a good game, but the changed pace after the initial mission is just so boring and mundane that I can't muscle through to the main storyline. I know it's in there somewhere, I know it's probably good, but everything along the way is so tedious that I keep procrastinating playing it.
Fable 3. I picked this up last wednesday and while the game itself is very good and a lot of fun. It's one of the worst console ports I've ever played. I should not have to spend 40 mins searching on how to setup my graphics settings through the xml file and Nvidia Control Panel just to get a smooth 60fps. For anyone who is interested I turned off all the blurs and the game vsync, then bumped every other option to max and forced the vsync, AA and AF to 8x and 16x through NCP.
Im finding this with Kingdoms of Amalur aswell...... The action is fun, the story is crap. But the menu is not changed at all for PC gamers. Which is a shame. It feels like a good game, But the Inventory screens are unacceptable, they didnt even remove select buttons which are only there for the consoles. Enjoying it tho....So prob shouldnt go in this thread......but meh Now to play with Nvidia control panel settings to get AA to work -_-
