I painted up another set of the bars

And put them on the back

Next came the side panel, which is just a pice of plexi with a window cut out of it.

And painted it blue to match the front

As you may remember, I cut out the area above the IO ports; I'll replace it with plexi too.

And here's the back with the bars too.

Now, back to the windowed panel door. More bars.

Then I put it all together.

the cuts on the plexi look pretty rough, are you gonna file them?

I don't know if it's just the pics, but it looks like the plexi is not uniformly painted.

    61cm tall, 17cm wide, and 23cm deep.

I am no longer using inches for modding. Centimeters are far more accurate.

And there's still more to come...

I put a window on the right side so the PSU would be exposed.

Then I put in the mobo. The original board is DEAD, so my cheapo PC Chips board is in...

I still have to add the power button and clean up the top, before my next project starts rolling.

It looks like your PC is in jail. =)

I think that there is too much grating for my liking. It's works as an accent, but I'm not sure I like its total coverage of the fan/optical fan area. I think that the plastic panel might have been sufficient. Or maybe the grating b the fans could have been painted a contrasting color such as black or red to counter all the blue.

Still, your workmanship and creativity is admirable. I really like the on-off button placement. It would be nifty if you could put a fingerprint reader there as well. Recently they were $10 at Office Depot with a $10 rebate. Or it would have looked tacky. Still, overall I think this deserves a :thumb: :thumb: !

Be careful with the power button there to ensure that it can't be pressed by an idle hand. Maybe a military-switch style cover, or even a little circle of poly that swivels out of the way?

I've got an iris kicking around my parts box that I intend to use for that purpose someday - have it pop open when the PC shuts down, and then a few seconds after I switch the machine on it closes to prevent some wee bugger turning it off on me
