Excellent ;). This impressed me more than the motorized TFT did, but then I'm a sucker for bright LEDs and switches.

I assume this thread is pretty much dead though, seeing as the last post was in February. Is there a guide up anywhere or has that idea been scrapped? [Or is it still in progress..]

    Nice work Pflumingo!

I've been toying with the idea from a different angle, so to speak - just a hinged door (I have a Lian-li too) with a baybus or LCD behind. I was pricing up a small solenoid instead of a motor (about £10 in UK). It was to be mounted on the "outside" of the drive bays with a stepped rod reaching in though one of the retaining screw slots on the bay. The solenoid's "throw" is only aout 1cm so an "L" shaped lever assembly was to be used to turn the 1cm into the 5cm needed. The idea is that the solenoid doesn't need any gearing, just a simple lever to adjust the throw. Trouble is this might be fairly quiet but it's probably too rapid - the bay door would probably fall off!

That's the idea so far... Still very much on the drawing board.

    Great inspiration Pflumingo!!
    :D
